• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2023 Kia Telluride Discussion

So I spoke to my dealer today because we are down to one child seat capable car. They said that Kia has halted production of the SX-P for some reason, and that's why my order hasn't been accepted yet. I did ask them to see if the same halt in production would apply if we moved to just an SX X-Line and they said 4-6 weeks as the expectation.

Not sure how much truth there is there, just sharing my experience.

I’m guessing this also applies to SX-P X-Line?

Anyone know when the tow hitches are due to be available for install at dealerships? We went to vinyl wrap the numbers but my understanding is that the tow hitch install actually involves modifying the rear number so that it sits up higher, so we don’t want to do anything until that is installed.
who told you the bumper would need to be modified?

My dealer said all the bumpers he's seen still have the cut out for the hitch but none have been installed from the factory yet. I can't imagine there's a way to "modify" the bumper. The way the factory hitch is installed it shouldn't really have any effect on most of the bumper🤷‍♂️

I was just looking at the underside of our 2021 SXP to take the hitch off to put on our 2023 and I can't see where/how they would modify a bumper

@StephenCantrelle - do you know if this true?

Nothing internal from Kia on this. All is normal from my understanding. If I came across a message from Kia I would have shared.

Failcat shows them being built daily.

Thanks @StephenCantrelle - I was hoping that was the case. Probably a dealer trying to make an excuse for a delay!

Please forgive my ignorance here, as I am completely new to this...
Does anyone have a good link to KFOS?
How does KFOS differ from Failcat?
Thanks in advance!

There is no link to KFOS. It is an internal system on the dealer level. You are placing orders that go in a queue. That queue is in Kdealer(Another internal system of ours).. The orders will migrate to KFOS during the window that KFOS opens each month.

For much more Infomation type in the search bar KFOS vs Kdealer in the top right corner. make sure to select title only box.

I cant find it on facebook. Who posted it?
it was in the comments of a post. Here is the link look at the comments. KIA Telluride Owners | Facebook

Dealer told me anything SX-P. Our original order was for a Wolf Gray SX-P X-Line. Although it looks to not be accurate anyways unless by "halting production" they mean "not taking new orders".

Thanks for your input Stephen!

Honestly not shocked here. Since we first inquired about a '23, this dealer has never once contacted us for anything. Not when orders opened up. Not to tell us "hey maybe you should drop the Prestige package for a shorter wait". I'm about to just go get my deposit back and use a different dealer. They're also selling at 2K over MSRP.

Here she is! 2023 S AWD — chrome delete and wheels done by Wrap Kreations in Carrollton (highly recommend working with them). Bought from Huffines McKinney for MSRP + $999 for tint.

I need help, should I add black “Telluride” lettering on the back, front, or both?

Originally ordered in June, ended up canceling the order because someone backed out on this one last week.

I recommend black Telluride for the front and rear :)

When are y’all going to start selling at MSRP? Would love to purchase from you but can’t stomach your dealerships markup.

Go buy somewhere else then. Nobody is holding a gun to your head.

Use Freedom Kia of Morgantown. MSRP and they know what’s going on. They have been super great to work with. I’ve been working with Chris Imler.

Trust me when the market changes I look forward to doing tons of businesses at MSRP or lower.. until then I think we are reasonable at 5k over with my dealer package.
