It was a forced upgrade of sorts...
My 2022 Toyota Highlander XLE was stolen from my driveway before I even got the celebrate six months with it! When it was time to look at something new the Telluride was the first that came to mind. Even when looking at the Highlander the Telluride was always at the back of my mind, now don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved the Highlander but with it being so targeted for theft these days I knew I wouldn't be getting a new one. I just happened to be driving past my local Kia dealership so I decided to turn in and go talk to someone (it's rare that I have extra time on my hands like that but I was curious... and needed a car!). The sales guy said the wait is about 8 months to a year so I asked the obvious questions "You guys ever pull from other dealers?" I knew full well that the likelihood of other dealers having inventory and willing to offer it up were next to nothing but I asked anyways. Of course the answer I got was that they do but no one has stock right now, so I was asked to come sit down to talk more and when we did the guy fired up his computer and sure enough they had a new '23 X Pro on its way in that no one in the dealership seemed to know about. While it wasn't my first choice of color I knew it was my car. Sure enough it was delivered next day which was also a surprise to the dealer... I pick it up on Saturday and I can't wait.
