Which is what I figured (along with the weight of the tire…40lbs. vs. 30 lbs), it just didn’t end up being a concession I wanted to make.It’s the size of tires, larger circumference, not the type, causing it to hold gears longer.
I drive about 30-35K miles a year, majority of it highway. We do hit a decent amount of forest service roads in the summer but my main concern was highway comfort. Had snow & ice the other night and the Goodyears performed well.
