Installed Proximity Door Lock/Unlock Module

Installed this and it worked great but it drains my battery. If I go more than a day without starting or it is very cold out the batter does not have enough to start the car. When I disconnect this, the problem goes away. I emailed the company twice and never got any reply. Guess I will live without this feature.
 
I just got my part from Korea (arrived really fast) and was planning to install this weekend. Is battery drain a common issue?
 
I have been using this on my 2020 and never experienced battery drain problem.

I have it on my 2021, and while I have had battery issues in the cold winter (I live in Canada, -40 is some days, and I never plug in), I never really even considered this could be it.

Honestly, I just thought it was a shitty battery that install.

No issues since I got a new one but it's a small sample as only one winter so far.

Never bothered with warranty, bought an AGM from Costco.

I tried to install it on my '23 SX P X-Line today. Weirdly the cables on MF11 are not red/blue. After spending two hours on this, I am very disappointed to report it doesn't work. I have checked multiple times all the wiring and connections are right, but only 1 green light turns on. Either the pins on MF11 have changed or I have a faulty unit. Can anyone confirm? cc: @Lith_SXPN
 
Here is a picture of how MF11 looks like in '23. It's brown and gray wire in 62 and 63 pins.

Thanks, I found my mistake. I was looking at it from the wiring side. It should be looked at from the bottom to match the diagram from the instructions. Your pictures helped as well. I just redid the wiring and it works now!

It worked twice right after i finished up - both lock and unlock. I tested again after half hour and it doesn’t lock anymore! I will tinker again tomorrow morning.

I did exactly the same as you with orange and green wite. I have both lights green, but it doesn’t work with walk away lock. Unlock works as before without the module. Maybe i was mistaken yesterday with the test because the car does lock when walking away if it was unlocked on approach. This is standard on ‘23. It just won’t lock on walk away when exiting from the car. So this module doesn’t work even with both lights green.

For those that have done this, is it really necessary to disconnect car battery? Also, anyone simply put a switch on the power line? Feels easier (and safer) than going through the remote method to disable for times you do not want it active.
