If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2023 Telluride Trailer Hitch Receiver availability

I’m also installed today S9F61-AU000 OEM for 2022 Telluride and it looks great but I'm not sure I can hook up my 3500 lb. trailer. I can't be sure 100% but I think maybe when the official release of this part it won't be different from the previous one. I bought a trailer and was going to travel in next month, but without 7 pin connector for 2023 I can't do it. It's more disappointment. Maybe someone has some solution for this problem?
I'm curious if you just left the rear trim plate off when you installed the hitch on the 2023? I contacted KiaStuff and they said people were sending back the hitch because they didn't fit on the 2023. I'm wondering if they can't due to the trim plate. Please confirm one way or the other.

The one i had wasn’t wide enough and needed spacers or shims. I wasn’t comfortable with that so returned it and actually didn’t get a telluride at all due to the way kia handled this whole situation and with the issues I’ve seen and heard with them not honoring warranty work, etc.

As discussed in previous posts, the hitch spreads to fit the Telluride's frame when the bolts are torque. I even was a disbeliever and tried using shims at first but then followed the instructions the fit is fine and matches up with the factory installed hitch on my son's 2022 Telluride. You do not have to reinstall the trim piece but it's easy to follow the trim template shown earlier in this thread. It looks as good as the factory.

As discussed in another thread, the trailer hitch wiring connector on the 2023 Telluride has been moved to tire jack compartment. Kia has started to release wiring harness in Canada.

Its fits good , I can take a photo if you want. There is a gap on the bend of about 3 mm, but the top of the end fits tightly to the body. I attached the last screnshoot from the video on youtube where the guy puts the same original on Tulle of 2022, as you see the gap looks the same as mine.
I don't think they've changed the frame of this car in an updated design. I don't know why people return it. I don't have a plastic pad that should be in the tow package, I saw that cut out and it looks good.

I can confirm S9F61-AU000 OEM fits just fine on the 2023, I installed mine today. Just waiting on the Palisade wiring harness: ordered 26 May, shipped 1 June and currently in customs.

Thanks to those that answered. I picked up the S9F61-AU000 OEM hitch and it bolted right in place with no issues. Took me 2 hours to install but a 1/2 hour of that was looking for my 19mm deep well socket. I used the template provided earlier and cut my bumper cover to fit back onto the vehicle. I added the curves but in reality you can't see them anyway. Once I get the harness I'll cut the bumper cover a bit more to fit around the 7 pin connector. Then off to the lake fishing we go.

Anyone tracking a difference in the OEM purchased hitch and the etrailer one? Those 2 seem to be the most popular solutions for our ‘23 fiasco.

all are made by Curt ! if that will help with ur question!Probably the Kia one that they pay double for is made by Curt!!!

That etrailer model e45ez and the OEM one are the ones I am comparing and deciding between. I have the x-pro, and only use the hitch for a swing-away cargo box. It does have brake lights on them but not a big deal if I don’t hook up.

I have the etrailer hitch which is 15 1/2 at center, anyone know what the OEM height is at center? Thanks

So do you just have to leave off the trim piece on the bottom of the bumper, or are you able to cut to make it work?

I followed the measurements in the template and cut using a Dremel. My lines are not straight but when the trim is reinstalled I cannot tell. I plan to install the harness this weekend and update my cuts/lines to fit. Once complete I’ll upload some pics

This is mine without the harness attached.

I picked up my factory hitch from the dealer today. They only had knowledge of issues with the wiring harness. I've also read on-line that this wiring harness recall has been expanded to other models with a total of 8 catching fire and 50+ having melted wiring harnesses.

This is one beefy hitch. I have doubts that the hitch flexes as opposed to the sheet metal frame of the vehicle. I will be using shims to minimize the flexing of either side.
Slim, Can you confirm that you used P/N S9F61-AU002 for your oem hitch install. I know you mentioned some fit issues that went away when you torqued everything down. Just wanted to confirm that the S9F61-AU002 worked for you as many others have used the S9F61-AU000 or S9F61-AU001 which my dealer can't seem to get anymore.
