• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I just recently got my windshield replaced (not cheap with all the electronics) and the shop had to recalibrate the different electronics that flow through the windshield.

I thought after I picked it up that the lane departure assist wasn’t working. Does it always activate only when you hit a certain speed?

I guess I just took it for granted that it was on no matter what speed you are travelling.

Edited for correction on windshield
The LKA has everything to do with the windshield.
Also, it only activates after you reach a speed of approx 40 mph. The white icon seen in your cluster will turn green.

I believe that LKA has nothing to do with the windshield - but not 100% sure.
But, it also only activates after you reach a speed of approx 40 mph. The white icon seen in your cluster will turn green.
LKA is indeed only active past 40 mph. But it has everything to do with the windshield… it relies completely on the forward facing camera mounted at the top of the windshield.

Thanks for the replies. Good to know.

40 mph seems to be the universal threshold for LKA - it was the same in my prior cars to the Kia.

My bad - I need to edit my post so I won't lead anyone astray
