• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Auto Start/Stop: Can you disable it permanently?

I can't get why everyone is so happy with the eliminator for $100 when Nac posted a perfect solution earlier in this thread. And it costs less than $1 and takes about 10 minutes to complete.

I've put a 2kOhms resistor between pins 8 and 24. With this, ISG is constantly off and I've never experienced any issues with it (3 months so far).
Nice work @vallev !! Twenty cents vs $100 and you have to take apart for either one.....

The easy way, which I did to my 2018 stinger, 2020 SX and now to my new 2024 SX is to use the end of one plastic tie strap and insert it on the side on the switch to keep it press. It always will be press. very easy. Cut the excess tie plastic so it will be flush. 20 secs job!

Free shipping as I remember.
I think you mean "Shipping is included in the price."

In any case; I installed the Autostop Eliminator and love the upgrade. For those afraid to spend the money... You bought a $50k vehicle (and may have paid over MSRP) and you're afraid to spend $100 to make the engine last longer. Really?

It doesn't make the engine last longer; however, it does makes the battery last longer.....

I am not "afraid" to spend the money, I just can't afford it LOL..... (really, its not worth $100 to me to defeat it, when I can do it for with a resistor for under $1 and obtain equivalent performance).

So I guess it's really a value proposition; MONEY is what you spend, VALUE is what you get.
Apparently to some the VALUE they received is worth the $100 spent, to others its not.

Your opinion, so... Whatever!

I have had a couple instances where auto stop endangered me and Fluffy. That fraction of a second counts. If it's so important, why is there a bypass switch? It's freaking HOT here, I need my air to run ALWAYS. Some ######## says it still runs. NO, the BLOWER continues to run, the compressor does not. I believe what someone said about the automakers just wanting to make their numbers look better. Otherwise, This feature would be full-time like a catalytic converter.

Yep, and very likely (in hot climates) not cycling the A/C compressor at most every stop light will make that last longer as well. Starting and stopping motors are the hardest work that they usually do.
