If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Telluride sx lift and larger tires

Taller sidewalls were supposed to be a byproduct of putting this lift on lol. You'd think a 2 inch lift you could do close to 2 inch taller tires. And I am seeing that is not the case now lol. I will schedule an appt and just have to try different tires until I find the combination that works for me. I've considered by spacers but I think I'll just go with a smaller tire.
While the lift will get you more clearance on top, it does nothing for the width (front to back of the well) and depth. The rubbing for me occurs at the lower, back corner of the well.

You should check your speedo accuracy. Taller tires will almost certainly mean that your speed is higher than indicated. You can check true MPH with a hand-held GPS or a cell phone GPS app. I use Android "GPS Test."

Somewhere in the software there is a speedo calibration parameter. If you can get Kia to tell the dealer how to access and change it, you can dial out the error. I had an error in a Soob WRX and it was a huge battle with Subaru customer service before someone actually researched the problem and the solution. Since Kia appears to have no customer service I don't know how that will work out for you.

Test fit 255/55/20 and they fit ever so slightly. Ordered them will be here at the end of the week. Fingers crossed they don't rub bad driving or at full lock is really all I'm worried about. I don't think the Eibach springs will let them flex too much.

Got the installed and look great. And no rubbing at full lock or anything so far. Very happy with them so far.

I have a 2023 Telluride X-Pro with their tires (which I believe are 245/60R18). While a lift would be ideal, they are very expensive to pay for someone to install and I know absolutely nothing about doing car maintenance myself nor would I want to void the warranty by messing something up.

I am wondering what the largest off-road/mud tires are that I could fit on this without any rubbing or other issues without a lift? I apologize in advance if this specific year/trim has already been addressed on the 29 pages of this topic. My needs are driving in all weather conditions and the ability to go off-roading at our family property as well as on road trips.

Don't the X-Pro's already come stock with some kind of "off-road" tire? There are decent AT tires at 245/60/18 you can get so you don't need to worry if they'll fit.

- Falken Wildpeak AT Trail
- BF Goodrich Trail-Terrain T/A
- Nitto Nomad Grappler
- Yokohama Geolandar A/T
- Toyo Open Country A/T III
- Goodyear Wrangler Workhorse AT

There are others, but the above are what some folks I know (non-Telluride) are running on their vehicles for off-roading.

IF you want to try a slightly larger tire, your local tire shop might be able to advise you on what can fit without rubbing. You might be able to get something 0.5" taller, but not sure about wider...

TireSize dot com is a pretty good resource for looking up "alternate sizes" to what you're currently running.

I am running 265/50r20 Nitto Recon Grappler, No rubbing anywhere or full turn, not hitting any walls. it fits without the lift. I have the lift on hand but have not installed them yet.
Looks nice, is there any change in ride quality with the slightly larger tire (thicker sidewall)?

Over a year already on the 2" Eibach lift springs, 1" Eibach spacers, and BFG KO2's in 265/65/R17 - no problems here.
When you added the springs did you run the stock 20" tires for a while? Any photo's with the springs on this site I can check out/ thanks!

My LX had stock 18" wheels that I ran for a couple of months before I went to 17" wheels to get that added sidewall.

If you look at Eibach's website, that's actually my vehicle they used for the product testing and photos, both for the lowering and lift springs.

Posted a photo here before with the aftermarket wheels and tires: Aftermarket Wheels for the Telluride

Anyone tried the Falken Wildpeak A/T 245/60/20? I think it is just what I am looking for. Put the Eibach lift on and ready to upgrade my tires now.
Could you share a few photo's with the new springs installed?

The one I posted on the 28th of March has the new springs installed. Anything in particular you are looking for and maybe I can help you out or take pictures of that specific thing.

Thanks for getting back. That photo is perfect.

Couple questions
  • That photo is with the stock 20” rims and 245/50/20 tires?
  • Eibach springs correct?
  • How is the ride?
  • Do they recommend shock extensions (worry about botting out)
  • Have you towed with it?
  • When they install do they tell you to unhook battery?

Thanks again

•Correct Stock wheels
•Yes Eibach Springs
•I didn't see any recommendation about shock extensions. I did not use any. It has not bottomed out on me at all.
•Have towed small trailer with two yards of mulch on it with no problems.
•I'm assuming you mean install the lift. And I did the lift myself and did not unhook the battery.

One thing I have notice when braking pretty hard for turns and doing a sharp turn there is a slight rub on the inner fender well in the front. Just the plastic. Happens very rarely. It's happened to me three times so far since I put them on.

It looks identical to when I had the Truxxx lift.1000002338.webp

The ride seems to be the same, didn't really feel much different. Little heavy since the tire weight more.

Why did you switch from the TRUXXX lift? Just curious as I have them as well....
I had a weird thunk in the rear suspension whenever I went over something like a speed bump or a curb. I also didn't really care for the way it rode over rough terrain. So I took a chance on the Eibachs. They resolved both those issues.

This site will help tell you the effect larger tires will have on your speedometer, etc.: LINK

I have noticed that clunck thing you are talking about, not always but occasionally. Did you do the install yourself? If so how was it? Looks like a much better option.

I had a shop install it. Took about 4 hours and about $700. Unfortunately, they failed to do the alignment correctly and I ended up taking it to Kia and they did it. I'm happier with the Eibachs.
