  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I'm in the Pac NW, willing to got from WA down to the N. Oregon area to get the best price. Where, who should I shop with?

If you're a Costco member - check to see what deals they have under their auto program in your area.

The primary reason to shop across state lines for a car is to avoid Washington's sales tax. Oregon doesn't have a sales tax, so purchasing a car there can save you a significant amount of money.

You must pay sales tax to the state where you will register your vehicle, not the state where you purchased the vehicle. So, if you buy a car in a state that doesn’t have sales tax, you’re still required to pay sales tax if your home state requires it.
