Hearing what sounds like a fuel pump noise upon exit.

In the past few days , whenever I exit the driverside door, I hear a mecahanical sound, like a fuel pump just stopping. I never heard this before. My 2022 EX has 26,000 miles and was just wondering if I should be worried that my fuel pump is about to crap the bed.

I forgot that it has an electric parking brake system. I never heard the sound before. Is this going to be a problem and should I get it checked out?

Nope this is normal. Kia updated the software to automatically engage when you open the drivers side door. You should use your parking brake every time you park regardless.
