What did you pay for your KIA Telluride?

Was this AWD or FWD? I ordered my SX AWD two weeks ago and they told me they couldn’t give me a price at all. I’m worried it’s going to be higher than the online build price (before ttt)

Yes this is AWD. Hopefully the incentives are good when you take delivery. Did you get an estimated time frame?

Ok I thought so, but I didn’t get the prestige. If I could get your deal I’d be thrilled! I ordered from two dealerships without putting down a deposit and will see who can give the better deal but I think it’d going to take awhile for the car to even come in.

What state are you in?

No, both dealerships said Kia would send an eta a few weeks out when they expected it to ship.

There doesn't seem to be an end in sight if you just want to find one currently in stock. In northern Virginia there are only 7 EX all-wheel drives available and SX are all selling 5k over MSRP.
Getting turned down when walking in a dealership willing to pay MSRP for a Kia is a freaking joke.

And the kia.com website is not accurate, as far as inventory. Not sure how often it inventory amounts are updated

@Wpkguy01, you should be aware that dealers make more money when you get a loan to purchase. Therefore, cash deals do not receive discounts like they did many years ago.

@mrmac
Completely understand and thank you for replying so quickly.

Also thinking about your city during this tragic time.

We thank you. Very sad. El Paso is the friendliest big city I've ever been a part of.

I live in Bakersfield CA. In late May I drove 100 miles to Ventura Ca. to check out Black S FWD model they had advertised for MSRP. $35090.00. When I arrived I asked about it and was told that it was available but price was $42000 since it had been equiped with dealer add-ons. I explained that I did not want these add-ons just the vehicle. No deal they said you have to buy it as it is. No discounts what soever. I told them that I was pre-approved for $36000 only and was told by finance mgr that the credit union would finance additional price for add-ons, tax, title, fees, and extended warranty. Total out the door $49475.00 OUCH. Well they felt confident that with only $500 down that they would get the deal they wanted with me being the patsy. So I took the keys knowing my credit union would probably not finance $14000 over MSRP with only $500 down. Went to credit union on Monday and they couldn't believe that I had signed a contract with price and payment so high. They politely said no unless I put down a other $13500..yeh right. Well I decided to use my head and not my heart. In California dealer has 10 days only to find a customer financing or they must either assume the loan themselves or send customer certified letter asking for vehicle to be returned. This dealer did neither so after 10 days no financing offer Duh!. They I formed me that I must return vehicle to which I I formed them if they attempted to bully me now I would sue them. Well guess what the next day I received a call..Out the door price with add-ons $40150. I went back to my credit union and they approved my loan. Dealer had the gall to ask that I recommend them to others..piece of advise to Southern Californians wanting a good deal or either MSRP at this time. Expect false advertising as all dealers are advertising MSRP and either installing Dealer add-ons or just adding premium price up to $10000 for the opportunity to purchase. Crooked .I did find one honest dealer in Selma near Fresno willing to sell me one for MSRP if and only if I put down $1000 and special ordered it from factory to be picked up at there location. Of course I had to ask how long I would be waiting..Could be a while he said. Advise play hardball and know your states laws as these dealers are sharks with pricing on such an awesome ride like the 2020 Telluride..All in all it was definitely worth my trouble.

You are so right, I am dealing with same kind of dealers here in SoCAL with ridiculous mark ups, I will wait it out till end of the year just to get away from all this fuss. Thanks for the info though it was great!

When I tried to factory order a vehicle from my local dealership, they required a $500 nonrefundable deposit. A dealership an hour away did not require a deposit and no obligation. They said that if I didn’t end up buying, someone else would. But no dealership would give me any pricing on a SX AWD dark moss with butterscotch. Not even msrp. When the local dealership found out about the other, they said I didn’t have to put down a deposit but had to buy from them if I ordered from them because Kia has been punishing dealerships for putting in fake orders. I just told them to let me know if they got one in. Bc of the Hugh demand, there is no reason I need to deal with this nonsense. So just waiting on my order or if someone else were to get one in first. We want to do a 36mo lease with 12k miles. Any experience with price on this?
Just got this exact package (SX, AWD, Moss Green, Butterscotch, Tow) in Portland, OR. MSRP is $45,960. Unfortunately, things are CRAZY in NorCal and OR, pretty much every dealership is marking up SX $4K for FWD or $5K on AWD (plus my taxes are 8.25%!), and they aren't even staying on the lots for 24hrs if at all. Got $2400 off for using Kia financing. Ended up getting for about $48K before taxes and fees. I did 12K, 36mo also. Highway robbery still but my concern was that with the way things are going, if I wait until pressure eases up, inventory will still be very low on the options I wanted and the next gen will come up at a higher price since Kia clearly has a market at a few K higher and people are still buying SX over Palisade which can quickly get in to low 50s.

Thanks for the input. I have now ordered from two dealers so whoever gives the best price will get it. I am prepared to walk if it’s substantially more than the inline msrp. We shopped it based on that price and what we are willing to pay.

Stopped by local dealership today. Had received a call yesterday saying two units came in. They were signing the papers on both by the time I got there today. Their asking price is $2,000 above MSRP for whichever model they get on the lot plus TTL. He politely told me they would continue charging above MSRP as long as they were selling this fast. Other than this unappealing piece of information they were polite but not that helpful. I didn’t feel like they knew very much about the vehicle and had to correct the salesman numerous times as he was telling me about the trim packages. At first I was told the additional overage was for vehicle prep. When I pressed the sales manager he disclosed the truth about the markup. Just relating my experience. Still looking.

I got prices as high as $43,000 out the door for a S FWD. I ended up ordering one with the tow hitch, dimming rear view mirror, carpet floor mats, & mud flaps. $37,400 out the door + DMV. (I also don’t have the vehicle yet so who knows)

my Kia dealer finally said that his GM is now allowing selling at MSRP for LX and S Trims
plus on lease they have 2400 bucks off 2 years
1300 off 3 Years lease
this dealer is Kia Cerritos in SoCal
36 months = 65% residual value, 0.00197-0.00347 money factor
i am new to this forum so pardon me if anything is wrong
as member mentioned in LeaseaHackr forum we can still get 10% off MSRP on Palisade, I don’t know why but when I see Telluride in person it doesn’t feel like what it feels in Pictures and Videos, i am a bit disappointed by that
what i am looking for is a sunroof and 8 seating in my new car so i can either choose Kia Telluride S it has leather like seats which is a big big advantage and I don’t have to add any other package
if i goto Palisade the leather (original) seats i have to add packages which are 2200 premium package+ 2400 convenience package + 900 sunroof package = 5400
in other words i get discount 10% and came back to where Telluride S trim stands
Q) can someone suggest me what is a better deal in this scenario? if price is almost same
P.S ; i am not in rush and i will wait until next year so prices drop and deals kick in on telluride offering 10% more

Brother in law found an available black on black SX Prestige for 58k out the door. I ordered my Moss Green/dune brown SX prestige with Tow, Interior lighting and cargo mat in April and received yesterday and was 51 out the door.

Heard on the radio today that my dealer is offering 0% for up to 72 months. Holy crap
