• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... This seems like a pricey option. Anyone have it and can weigh in? Recommend or not?

I wouldn’t put it in a “must have” option - I like it at night as it lights up the cup holders on the console also the footwells and since I have an SXP which has mood lighting I have matched colors so it gives the cabin a cool look. I currently am using the light blue color. I would put it in a nice to have - same for the Illuminated scuff plates. Just comes down personal taste and budget.

Funny you mention the scuff plates ... that was going to be my next question :) Thanks !

Has anyone any idea how much it would cost with installed?

Just picked up our SX that has the interior lighting kit last night. 1000% Not worth the money IMO. Haven't taken a really detailed look but I only find 4 LEDs (2 leds in the center console cup holder and one on each side of the front footwells). The glare from the cup holder LEDs is really annoying if you are in the passenger seat and there is nothing in the cup holders. Now if you like factory looks with the LED lens covers that integrated into the cup holder and foot wells then by all means go for it.

I could DIY a much nicer setup for all rows for under $100 that would have WAY more functionality with a near factory look.

I have asked my local dealer here, it was $380 for the item and $200 for installation changes.

My dealer told me that the SX Telluride does not have the mood lighting as standard. He said that I have to get the light kit package to get any mood lighting at all. Is that true?

I can’t find any information online about what the light kit actually includes. Also does anyone have any pictures that show what the light kit and scuff plates look like.

If the mood lighting is standard on the SX trim then I probably will have them cancel it on the order I placed.

Could you post a picture of the light kit and the mood lighting as well?

The mood lighting is led strips on doors and dash. That’s standard on the sx. Interior light kit lights up front foot wells and cup holder in front. Hope this helps you.

I'm just looking to do something in the cup holders... have seen the rechargeable pucks you just drop in, but that would end up being more of a pain.

Any suggestions for a hardwired with ignition solution. Reluctantly willing to disassemble the console to install... two individual RGB LEDs in each cup well with a remote control for the colors...??

I have it because it was included in the in stock car. I would not buy it at $450 if there were a choice. It’s ok for $100. Not for $450

Yup, can't go wrong with $10 and a little elbow grease. It is something like 8 colors and different transition modes and is relatively simple to install.

Pictures I have seen of the footwell lighting seem VERY bright.....are these lights dimmable, I know the color can be changed but if they can't be dimmed I don't think I'm interested in adding.

They can be dimmed through the app on the monitor

On the screen, setup then vehicle then lights. There’s also a you tube video that explains this. Do a search on YouTube for KIA telluride ambient lights

Yes I understand how to adjust the ambient lighting Through the menu thats for the lighting on the Dashboard And doors but that doesn’t Control the footwell light. only way I know how to change colors, and on and off is through the button in the little Compartment in-front of the cupholder, I don’t believe the foot well lighting is dimmable
