• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I get an annoying wind noise above 45 mph on the driver side only, took it to dealer who drove it but thought it was turbulence from the exterior rather than a window sealing problem, any thoughts on figuring this out, I ran my finger along the seal and noise did not abate

You were reading my mind. Got my LX on Friday, after reading through this board for a few months, I tried to notice every little thing while driving it. I have also notice wind noise on the drivers side at upper speeds. Window is up, and i dont notice anything on the seal. After rain last night/this morning, i also noticed water dripped in thru the passenger side window.

Same here. The very first day as I drove off the dealer's lot on to the freeway I noticed this annoying wind noise. It does not happen at lower speeds.

Are either of you bothering to get it checked out? It will be more annoying in the winter time when cold azz air is blowing in....

I'll be going to the dealership. I have sounded them off about it and they said they haven't heard this from anyone else. It is actually very annoying even with the slightest head wind. A constant 'whoosh' from the drivers side mirror area.

Yes exactly, the drivers side mirror area, corner of the window. I hate to nick pick to them but this shouldnt be happening.

My post on a diff thread: I did have a really SLIGHT whistle near the driver-side window. Thinking that may be a line from the paint protection.
FROM G-706357: I had a whistle as well. It is the trim piece between the front and rear door. Dealer did a warranty claim and replaced it.

Is it the black vertical trim on both doors ? Were both replaced?
Thanks.

I had them same issue. It's the black piece of trim on the B pillar. Mine was replaced at the dealer under warranty. They had already had a couple. It wasnt an issue. Good luck.

Need to ask Member G-706357

MORE WHISTLING FOLLOW-UP: So I went to the dealer today for an A-pillar trim replacement. While there we poked and prodded looking for a potential whistle-causing offender.
Here's what we found - on my driver's side rear door - loose trim. Below are pics showing how easily it pulls away. Second pic is what it should look like when pushed flush. Passenger side was tight with absolutely no wiggle. The dealer ordered a replacement piece with new clips. Hopefully that's the answer.
The black trim between my doors is tight and perfectly flush, so I don't believe that caused any of the whistling I've heard.
Although I did not purchase the vehicle here where I live, the local dealer (Russ Darrow Kia) has been GREAT about fixing anything and everything I point out.

If you don’t mind me asking, was this MSN or MKE. I have a whistling coming from the passenger A post (I think). Do you remember who you worked with?

Thanks!

In Madison. The service advisor I've been working with is Ben Gaither (benjamin.gaither@russdarrow.com); 608-275-7700. Ben has always been very helpful. Good luck.
