Wasnt as bad as I expected. They pushed this new replacment insurance pretty damn hard but I didnt bite. Got the x at x months payment we agreed to earlier and no new charges. Pretty happy right now.
Kinda feel guilty only waiting 10 weeks. For those of you still waiting GL!

We ordered a white SW AWD with black interior on June 17. In late-July the dealer told me that there is a mid-September delivery date, but we haven't seen it yet.

My dealer just emailed me that the cargo ship that overturned in GA had a ton of Tellurides on it and waiting to find out if any of their ordered units went down but it is also affecting the supply, obviously. I ordered mine on July 26 and it still just shows that the order was accepted but now shows “material hold”. The Kia rep isn’t able to provide any more info either.

I ordered a Moss Green SX AWD on July 15th. My dealer is telling me the vehicle is listed in the system as "MADE" but hasn't given me a vin number yet. Any idea if this is a real designation and if it is made how long it takes to get routed to its destination?

Well there goes my Telluride delivery down a few more months
Apparently the cargo ship is owned by Hyundai and had over 4000 Hyundai and kia vehicles on board ...
Anything and Everything is delaying my delivery further and further

The Tellurides are manufactured in America so there couldn't have been ANY Tellurides on that ship. I'm sure there were parts on there that were headed for the plant in GA which of course may add to the delays. The Palisade is a Hyundai brand and IS made in Korea. There was most likely a ton of those on there as well as other models.

The ship was outbound (from Georgia to Baltimore then the middle east) and loaded with vehicles, which tells you that the vehicles came from the US, most likely the Kia plant in Georgia and therefore would have included Tellurides, which are a popular export to the middle east. Your statement might be true if the ship and it's cargo were inbound, which it was not.

I think the concern is that those vehicles now need to be produced again, assuming all on board are a loss. If the plant puts a hold on everything else to get those fulfilled, then it delays those of us still waiting.

Canada. I was 100% going to plasti-dip the rims black and next spring get new black rims with the Moss Green. But now that I have Black Copper the Stock 20s look actually damn good going to leave it stock. Only thing I’ll do for now is Vintage K badge overlay.

Just got a text from the dealership today and apparently the old sales manager didn't place the order. So I've been waiting since July 25th on NOTHING! Time to hunt for a more reliable dealer. If anyone knows one near Houston that would be great!

What dealership did you initially attempt to order from? You can try Fort Bend Kia in Richmond - they were taking orders at MSRP - but confirm everything in writing before (fees, adds, etc) and ask for a Kdealer printout showing the sold order. You could also try Archer Kia - but they will likely insist on some dealer adds (min. $800). Or, can order over the phone from Huffines Kia dealerships up near Dallas area. There are two - see Good Dealer listings on this forum.

Yeah I'm leaning towards Huffines and making the drive up there when it delivers.

August 6th. I really didn't order it as the dealer had several allocations coming and gave me a choice. Only two SXP's the rest were SX's or lower trims. The other SXP was white with dune and had a trailer package. We liked the Moss with Black Nappa better and didn't need a hitch so saved some money. Only option as you can see on window sticker is carpeted floor mats. If we had special ordered I can't think of anything else we would have wanted and it would have been same as the one he had coming. Just got lucky I guess.

Good for you! I had that opportunity as well, but I turned it down since the exterior color was not what I wanted. Good for you and enjoy the ride!
