Order to delivery time

Where are you located in Canada. We Ordered the Dark Moss SX Ltd. on May 28th and I called yesterday and they are saying another month or 2 from now.

Inititally they said end of September. Then they changed it to unknown date beyond Sept. 30. Now it has changed back to end of Sept. So hopefully for you, you get a more exact date soon.

Wondering if people can start posting when they ordered and when they received their Kia (or at least the vin).

I ordered an sx prestige with tow on March 13. Nothing yet.

Many of the threads here have gotten hare to follow woth with the side conversations, it would be helpful to just keep this to dates for people’s reference.

I ordered June 28, nothing yet here. Have you received yours yet?

That member never took delivery of his ordered vehicle in March. Most orders are being fulfilled in 3-4 months - depending on trim. If you ordered June 28 it should hopefully fulfilled by end of this month or next since it's not an SX Prestige. Check with your dealer soon...

My dad's car started acting up last couple days so called up my Kia guy, my order's gotten it's temp VIN and estimated delivery of Oct 25th. Actually said I was somewhat surprised being a lot of people say they're in the dark even after months. So from what he's told me a lot of the hold up seems to be what I theorized, it's S trim and SX trim cars are extremely popular, along with that SX Prestige is popular but suffering shortages of the Nappa leather which is really causing delays. He said bulk of orders are cars with captains chairs hence SX and S trims and there's shortages there. On the other hand LX and EX trims are moderately popular yet not so they're seeing delays so those are averaging 2 months, also 8 passenger S trims are avoiding serious delays. I also asked about the car carrier incident in Georgia, at first wasn't sure what I meant then realized what it was, said they haven't heard if it's going to cause delays and said no incoming inventory was on it but if anything comes up about it that would cause issues he'd let me know. So at least some good news for today to start the weekend.

Can you Believe this, KIA is running advertisement ads on Telluride on television. They cannot even keep up with the production and demand! I think they should make sure they can fix the order and delivery time before they start advertising on TV. Many people will be disappointed when they find out how much time it takes for order and delivery'time.

I completely agree! That money would be better spent on increased production.

It might seem that way but the more important part of those ads is to turn brand image around. The Telluride accomplished getting people to ask "That's a Kia" as in they couldn't believe it. It's enough to make someone become curious and think if that Telluride is the new direction of Kia what else do they got? I wouldn't be surprised if there was an up tick in Sorento and Sportage sales with the new foot traffic.

Just a heads up. Walker Kia in Alexandria, LA has a White SXP with dune brown interior on the way at MSRP. He also said he has another SX coming with black interior. Neither were exactly what we wanted, thought I would pass it along.

So if you ordered the SX Prestige in the US, orders were not being accepted for that trim between mid-may until July 25 or 26. Your dealer may have told you he could order it in June to take your deposit and keep you from going to another dealer, but that is beside the point now. Hopefully he placed the order as soon as ordering opened up again - you can ask for a K dealer printout, and if that dealer did, then it will likely be fulfilled by end of November. Make sure he didn't place an order for a non prestige SX because that could be ordered in June. Keep fingers crossed!

I can only imagine how much over MSRP an unclaimed SXP is going to cost $$$!!!

I was told that my order was accepted and "in the pipeline" (whatever that means) and my salesperson said he'd let me know when it was being built. Originally (when we came into drive the one on the lot) the salesperson said that an order would be 6 weeks out. When I placed the order, he said 6-8 weeks. It's five weeks tomorrow and based on what I read here, it seems like I'm in for a wait. In the meantime, the local dealership has gotten and sold 5 or 6 Tellurides, though none have been SXP. I don't mind waiting another month or so, but the Palisade Limited sitting on the lot down the street looks more appealing every day...
Just wondering if anyone in the midwest (I'm in NW Ohio) has heard anything specific about an SXP build lately.

They (KIA) Pushed out the delivery date a extra month.. So instead of September its now mid to late October..

I'm in New England and ordered my SWP SX (non-prestige) on July 20th. Our dealer said it would be 10-12 weeks. Received the VIN last week and was told we are still on schedule for an October delivery. Fingers crossed it's an early October delivery... I'm getting impatient!

Ordered ours on August 17...was told 3 months. It's been a month and we haven't heard anything. Dealer said they put in the order, but we don't have an acceptance confirmation or anything.

We ordered on July 25th a sx prestige. We hit 6 weeks last Monday and I called my dealer. They said it had been moved to being built but didn’t have anymore info. No vin yet. But other show the build is fairly quick so not sure if I got good info or not. I’ll probably be checking in again tomorrow.

I ordered an sxp two weeks ago. So I guess by the time it arrives it will probably be a 2022 model!

After weeks of not being able to get hold of sales, I finally got word on what happened with my Telluride order. Supposedly my SX-P AWD is coming Oct 10-15. At this point I don’t really believe them. They placed the order incorrectly the first time. If anyone is interested - Sunshine Kia in Miami is having two AWD SX in Ebony black/black coming soon. Not sure if they’re allocated orders or not.

I’m going with my husband in person to see if they can show me the order for October. Otherwise I’m about done with this dealership.
