SX Prestige delivered to dealer with different VIN/Interior Color

New member 1st Time posting......After placing order for SXP Dark Moss w Dune Brown interior late May, dealership called September 2nd saying it would be delivered in 3 - 5 weeks. Upon my request for the VIN #, the dealer gave it to me and I was able to retrieve the sticker using the tool provided in another thread in this Forum. The dealer called today with my SXP delivered with Gray interior and a different VIN#.....seems odd? According to the dealer, their GSM system doesn’t show the previous VIN# as a scheduled delivery and the new number has my name assigned. Given all the challenges and (in some instances) dealership dishonesty I’ve read in other threads, I’m curious as to others thoughts?

Possibility the dealer never ordered the vehicle but waited for closest match to arrive. Quite a few forum members have been emailing me similar issues. Once they ask if order was placed with KIA (The Mother Ship) they find out that "we don't order Tellurides" Only a guess at this point.

Thanks. I’m skeptical because the dealership said in July that the SXP’s are no longer being shipped with Dune Brown interior. Then, they tease me with the surprise sticker that shows it has Dune Brown.....just one example of many questionable comments from the dealer throughout the waiting process......

Are you taking the vehicle that came in?

Am planning to look at it tomorrow with my wife. Dune Brown was my first choice but she liked the gray. The gray looks much better in person than online so we’ll see how it goes?
