So I've been impatiently waiting for my S trim in ebony black with the much needed 8 seats to arrive for over a month.
It was initially expected on 9.18.19, now has changed to 9.30.19.
Today, in an attempt to hopefully hear the news that it will be here earlier, I decided to go to the dealer to inquire in person.
While I was there, I noticed they have the exact car I've been waiting on just sitting on their lot.
They said they are willing to swap it out for me but the only problem is it is the moss green which I personally dislike. Although I dislike the exterior color, it does come with the better looking cream interior.

I now am faced with the decisions of waiting maybe 6 more days and getting the exact vehicle I want, or settling and getting an undesired color, but get it now.

I think I will wait to get my order, but it's very tempting to know that I can have it now!

What would you do?
 
Wait for what you want. I did what you were thinking and got the one on the lot instead of waiting and I really regret it. Everytime I see the one in the color I want, it makes me mad. I know it sounds dumb, but if you have waited this long, stick it out and get what you want.
 
Agree with Patsfan29...wait for what you want. You've waited this long, a few more days will be worth it.
 
I agree with Patsfan29 too, and not JUST because he/she is a Pats fan (like me). Get what you like. I don't like the green either and would definitely wait a few more days. I wish I had gotten black...

Thank you for that. And sorry you took that plunge too. I will wait it out.
The bright side is that you can always paint it. Maybe you can be the first to have a custom paint job that no one else has.

I can tell you the Ebony Black looks great when clean and shinny, but it is a dirt and finger print magnet! Every little bug splatter, dust speck and especially hand prints and finger prints noticeably shows. It is a real pain to keep clean. I would see if the Moss Green is less prone to show these!!

Seriously doubt the Moss Green will be any better. Have owned vehicles from black to white and everything in between and any color other than white, tan yellow or grey will be a dust/fingerprint magnet. Have seen some use this product at car shows to remove dust.

I had many colors as well, including a forest green 4Runner. I found silver and gold was the easiest to maintain. This is my first black vehicle and it's the worst. Based on my 4Runner, I think it'll be better than black. Wonder what Moss Green owners think...

So update folks... after going down there in person last night, all of a sudden it was here today! Was able to pick it up today during my lunch break and man am I glad I didnt get the one they had on the lot last night in the undesired color.
I know it is customary to post picks but bare with me, I'm just enjoying the moment. 😁
