New to the forum, just purchased an SX/Prestige in Moss Green with Black interior today. It will be replacing a 2014 Acura MDX. We test drove several cars including the new MDX, VW Atlas, Volvo XC90, and the Pilot. I must admit I was very surprised with the ride, quality of build, size, and interior design on the Kia. We pick ours up on Tuesday. I am rather picky on my vehicles....2014 Audi S4 M6, 2019 Mustang Bullitt(Green of course), 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat M6. The Telluride is the wife's car, but I have to drive it for decent distances, after our two test drives, color me impressed! This vehicle looks great, seems well built, and is packaged cleverly. The Tellurides at the dealer today looked like rides at the amusement park, with people waiting in line for test drives! I think Kia has a real hit on their hands!

Welcome and congrats. Avid Audi owner here. (S7) Just ordered an SX today. Mid April delivery. Looking forward to your impressions.
Thanks, I'll post some first impressions after we get the car! The S4 is my 3rd S4.....been driving them since 2005....pretty avid about Audi S cars as well...the S7 is really nice.....bummed I can't get it in a manual....or any new Audi in a manual for that matter!

You sound like an automobile enthusiast with that list of cars you've owned. The only Audi I've ever owned was an S4. Loved it - but it was back in the B5 days - so reliability wasn't the greatest. But it was so easy to modify and actually make fast...
Yes, I think KIA really does have a hit on their hands with the Telluride. This is going to be a very popular SUV...

Congrats. Where did you purchase and did you manage to negotiate anything off MSRP?
Did not negotiate anything off MSRP......Came with $2500 of rebates, have to finance minimum amount and will pay off as soon as allowed(six months). We also got the founding members 2 years XM.... Probably could have gotten a little something off....however my wife was a little over zealous about her love for the vehicle 
Additionally there were literally 3 people deep lines waiting to take test drives on Saturday.....reminded me of an amusement ride. We visited the VW dealer, the Mazda dealer, Volvo dealer, and Acura dealer to complete test drives.....crickets everywhere else!

6 Months? Was told I could pay off in 3 mos today by a dealer GM today. (but intent to pay off after one payment) I'm going to live vicariously through you Please let us know if the finance contract actually has any wording on pre-payment. Also, will be very interested to see if the 64 - color ambient lighting is actually installed & working in your SX. Exciting day for you tomorrow! All the best.

Great, thanks. BTW...some states don't allow prepayment penalties on auto loans. Be sure to check your consumer laws.

@Razorback have you taken delivery yet? Was there actual wording on prepayment in the contract? You state may not allow prepayment penalties on auto loans

Lol, love this part, although, this new factor wont last forever. Shame so many dealers take advantage of the early adopters.
So ....drove the Telluride for a little after picking it up. What a nice ride! The mood lighting works as advertised....it is really subdued even on Max brightness but adds a nice touch. Our SX/prestige had the 64 color wheel to pick your custom color. HUD works well even in bright sun and the vehicle is really quiet. It feels cavernous compared to the MDX even though it is only about 3 inches longer and 1.3 inches wider. Ride quality is very nice and the acceleration is really good as well.....if not maybe a fraction slower than the MDX. Trip with the kids this weekend to break her in properly. Oh did I mention it looks great too!

Welcome to the forum and welcome to Telluride ownership. I picked up my SX Prestige a few weeks ago and so far I absolutely love this vehicle and I test drove Acura, Volvo, Audi and Mazda. This was my favorite out of all of them for both features, looks and price.
