I’ve purchased a lot of new cars in my lifetime, and it’s typically something I never look forward to. I’ve visited three Kia dealers in my area, inquiring about the Telluride, and they don’t know their product. It’s pathetic. First of all, you’ve got to get past the new, inexperienced salesman that are standing around the entrance and search the showroom for fleet sales, or internet sales. At one dealership I managed to find an Internet Sales Manager, and he stated that he’s a “straight shooter.”
So I explained exactly what I was looking for and my “out the door” price. He says he can do it. Never heard back. Called him, no response. Mr. “Straight Shooter” was, in my opinion, just another typical car salesman that’s confirming why the process of buying a new car is dreadful. Maybe as the dust settles, and Telluride inventories increase, they may be receptive to all offers. Till then, I stay away from all car salesman and live happily with my existing ride...a 2018 BMW M40i.
