  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I could triple the number of examples provided with even more ludicrous stuff from over the years. I still can't understand why so many dealers don't get the fact that reputation and integrity are everything...

It seems to get worse and not better. There is no continuity. Every time you go back to the dealer there are new sales people. Don’t blame the sales people I blame management and corporate. My dad had a Mobil gas station for 20 years. He had more oversight and rules from corporate just to be able to represent the brand. Why don’t manufacturers do that with auto dealers? In this time and age you would think the buying process could be easier, more streamlined and transparent. No one likes these games. It just escapes me that the buying public has to put up with these antics. Brands could have a much better reputation over time if customers were not treated like they are these days. It used to be easier. I remember when I ordered my first car. It was a 1974 Ford Grand Torino. It was actually fun! We used to drive by the the lot every few days (and some nights) to see if the car had been delivered yet. Ahhhh simpler times...

One reason I like straight pricing by Tesla.

Not sure how successful Lexus is with their Lexus Plus Program

When you could really order a vehicle - with just the options you wanted, not be forced into packages that contain things you don't want or need (like having to accept navigation when it's not needed with today's smartphone integration).

It was more fun - not paying for things you didn't want, before the days of paying a made up 'doc fee' and generally getting the car before the 'promised' delivery date (under promise and over deliver).

The BS between the salesperson and the sales manager tag teaming the buyer was never, and still isn't, fun.

Genesis does this as well, right? For a time, I was in love with the G80 Sport. I believe you can complete the whole transaction without ever going to the dealer, right?

When I bought my G80 back in 2017, it was not a fixed price. A fixed price, combined with a lackluster residual, could explain the the current awful leases though.
