Order to delivery time

Update: just received a call back from the dealership I ordered from. Apparently my vehicle came in and instead of informing me, they sold it to another customer. Pissed does not even come close to describing my emotions right now. I have waited over 16 weeks for absolutely nothing. Apparently having a confirmed order in your name doesn’t make a difference at all! 😡
I suspect they sold it to someone willing to pay over MSRP and just kept stringing me along hoping I forgot about my car.
 
Could be some dealers get a cash deposit, hmmmm what's the hurry getting that vehicle. Lets fill up our dealer stock. We have his money. Hope that's not the case.
I called one dealer about Costco pricing was told Costco did not allow that pricing on Tellurides. He added if some dealer says they are probably not being truthful. Quickly eliminated that one.
Costco absolutely DOES offer pricing on the Telluride. We drove from WI to IL to order from a Costco approved dealer. I would call Costco and let them know they told you differently if you obtained their information from the Costco site.

That is a cover up to we never ordered it. What a S*** Show. It's almost impossible to sell a sold order to someone else. The invoice has the customers name on it! Can we help?

I only wish Muncie wasn’t so far away from New Mexico. I fully trust you would do everything in your power to make this right.

On a side note: they told me they don’t have any SX allocations at this time, but did offer to take my info down again for what I already had ordered and when they do get allocations for it I’ll be the first one to get it and from there it takes 90 days. Ha! No thank you, they’ve lost themselves a customer.

There is a dealership in El Paso, TX near me that has an EX with Premium package in the exterior color I want. it’s tempting, and honestly I told my husband if the Premium package had been available back when we placed our SX-P order, I probably would’ve gone with that. What would you do? Settle for something that isn’t exactly what I was ultimately wanting just to get this process over and done with, or place another order and wait 3-4 more months?

The second the order is placed... the dealer is sent a request ID. For my orders looking at this thread.... You all have a request ID. 😎 I have a feeling those that have been lied to will be very upset as wait times go up and they come to the realization that they are waiting on a stock unit. That is why I'm getting email from people that "KIA sent me the wrong interior color" or "I ordered a Hitch and KIA did not place it on my Telluride" or my favorite... "my vehicle showed up wrong exterior and interior color" KIA does not screw these up. Maybe once in a blue moon but not like this. The bad guys want you to bite on what's available and or hope you will pass on what you thought you ordered to have it now.


We called and got a copy of our request ID for our SXP ordered back in August. Do you know if the numbers in the ID correspond to the date that the vehicle was ordered?

Ironically, the numbers after the dealer number are 191115 which makes me wonder if they ordered it today, 11/15/19, when we called to request updates and verification that it was ordered. We ordered back on August 24

Yes, that's exactly what it is. I just looked at my order from Muncie and mine has my date there, 190914.
