• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I am wondering which current 3-row SUVs, luxury brands included, have the same features as the Telluride. The features I am most interested in are below. I figure if a car has these features, they would have some of the more common options as well. Can a used or prior model year car with these features be had for considerably less than a new Telluride? That is the question!

- Surround View Monitor
- Ventilated Seats
- Captain Seats in 2nd row
- Apple Car Play

BMW X7. Expensive initially and expensive maintenance.

Hona Pilot
Chevy Traverse
Dodge Durango
Ford Explorer

Almost all of them. The features you want are on the more basic side. Every single auto maker (including Toyota now) does car play

Toyota isn’t doing CarPlay on their Highlander. Archaic, I know.

Depending on trim level, yes. My 2017 Nissan Murano had it.

The Pilot Elite has similar features, although the Telluride still comes with more. I like the lane change camera and much longer warranty coverage.

When it comes to safety features. ALL trim levels of Honda’s have them all. My 2018 accord has all the same safety features as telluride minus the safe exit assist (reardoor feature) however. The pilot elite (to get more things like ventilated seats) comes in 2k over the telluride.

I am thinking more older model years (i.e. 2018), to compare used vehicles with low miles to a new Telluride. Looks like the Acura MDX has these features, and can be had for under 40k easily for a 2018 certified used model with under 15k miles.

That being said, I just don't like the interior of a mdx compared to the telluride. I can't seem to find any car new or used that compares in features and price. Telluride it is!!!!

I looked up and down. My close second was the traverse. While it is bigger in cargo space and 3rd row leg room (2inches) I like the looks of the telluride best

GMC Acadia can be equipped with all those features as well. When I got my parents a new car last year, wanted something crossover (was replacing an older, luxury, Body on Frame SUV), regular gas, front and rear parking sensors, easy infotainment, around view monitor, remote start (from the key), and heated steering wheel. Acadia Denali and the typical huge GM discounts were hard to pass up. Has the captains chairs in the Denali we got. A bit smaller than the Telluride, but a bit larger than Sorento, nice tweener size.

I was told the MDX is getting a bit of an interior remodel for the 2020 model when I looked at them a few months ago. Not sure if its true or not.... They had some decent lease prices on them- I wonder if Columbus dealers can do better prices on them since they are made here? I enjoyed the MDX a lot and I am not usually a fan of Acura/Honda. I am still glad I went with the Telluride - tons of features, nice ride & interior + great price :)

My wife’s car is a 2018 Acura RDX, and we love the car except for the road noise - very annoying. The MDX is slated for similar updates that the RDX got for 2019 with the exception of the 4 cyl T.

The 2016 and up Audi Q7 Prestige trim with options can match the feature set. For a much higher price.

Just bought a 2019 Volkswagen Atlas V6 SEL Premium for my wife w/everything you mentioned... Very underrated SUV. Feature packed, drives well, and looks amazing. In my opinion, a more spacious Audi Q7 that cost 30k less.20190409_190924.webp20190409_190910.webp

Congrats. I looked at the atlas at it was nice. They had really good base prices but the car was so basic unless you wanted to spend a ton more - at least for a lease so that’s part of why I passed. Telluride had more features , nicer tech, dash and good driver assistance especially for the price.

Thanks! Yeah I'm planning on getting the Telluride SX AWD w/prestige package for myself once they become readily available. I was able to negotiate the price to 46k out the door for the Atlas which had a 51k MSRP sticker price. Hoping I can do something similar by waiting on the Telluride for a bit. Good luck finding the Telluride you want!

Beautiful Atlas and congrats!

I'm in the same boat waiting for the SX to become more available and for these ridiculous prices to come down to at least MSRP. Let's hope I don't have to wait past midsummer for the hype to die down.
