Order to delivery time

I’m looking for any insight into how long it may take for each step in the order/build process and for my ordered Telluride to actually arrive. I ordered an SX Prestige, Deep Moss, Nappa Dune Brown leather on November 21st. I still haven’t heard anything and was told the first step was hearing from KIA that they received the order and have “fulfilled” it. I ordered from Huffines Kia Corinth. I was told on average it takes 2-4 weeks to fulfill the order, so is it just the holidays perhaps that are slowing things down? Any insight would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Just wait. You won't hear from them for a while. It took 5 months for my order to be delivered to that dealership. Same combo. So, you're looking at April delivery at latest hopefully. Maybe it'll only be 4 months.

Wow really? That’s unfortunate to hear, but can’t say I’m too surprised. Hopefully it’s 4 months like you said, but I don’t really mind as long as I’m kept in the loop. Thanks for the reply, I hope you’re enjoying yours though!

Just got word, delivery to dealer pushed out another 2 weeks, Ordered August 26th, set to hit dealer on Jan 11th, 4.5 months. Vin created on 12/11, production complete 12/12 and almost 30 days to hit dealer after production.. Oh well after 4 months what's another 2 weeks right..

I got a text today from the sales guy at Moritz Kia (Alliance) telling me that Kia has my order and is prepping to begin building. Does that mean that I'm 45-ish days away from delivery? If I'm not that close to delivery, that's cool. But what info should I ask for to confirm that the order is actually accepted and allocated to the dealer and in process of being built?

Good stuff. I ordered from Kia Moritz Alliance (Fort Worth) on 11/30. Too soon to hear back from them. When did you order?

My Moss/Dune SXP order took 3 months 4 days to arrive. Only phone call I received from the dealership came about a month after I ordered when KIA “accepted” it.

I didn’t hear anything further. Even called to check on a VIN just before the 3-month-point and was told by the dealership that no VIN was created. At that time, I checked with @StephenCantrelle to see if he saw any record of my vehicle being created. To my surprise, he saw it arriving in a couple days. It did.

I texted my dealer this morning to see if my Telluride had shipped yet (ETA is 12/28). She said a truck just pulled up at that minute and sent me a photo saying she is hoping one of these might be mine. It is! Picking up tomorrow morning! Order date was 9/19.

I ordered the SXP on halloween in Denver Colorado. Arapahoe kia. Black Copper with dune interior 027 package. we have had no communication with our dealer. can anyone give me any insight on when we can expect it to come in?

Yep, keep bugging your dealer. Halloween? You've got at least until February, likely March. Possibly April. I'd check with your dealer in January and February and March. Once you have a VIN, then just a few weeks.

Ask for your request ID, which should have the date embedded in it. See other posts in this thread and another thread.

Unfortunately he's not able to do that anymore. If you have a VIN, you can check production spreadsheet on forum. Search "production stats" by user Michelw.

But, these are December VINs, so orders in August and possibly Sept.

Can’t 100% accurately help anymore.. Kia won’t let me see incoming order units accurately. So don’t want to say your car isn’t showing on its way when it could be. I had a thread dedicated to just helping people but unfortunately can no longer help. The spreadsheet is your best bet to see once your Telluride is built

Nope, get the request ID as I said. They have all the info... just have to pester them. Get to fleet manager.

I didn't hear a peep until 3 months after order... and only because I asked about an incoming VIN.

Kia Telluride US production stats. by trim and colors

Have written a small computer application that generates valid Telluride VINs and then calls the Kia "windowsticker" URL to retrieve a windows sticker PDF file. From this PDF file I am able to retrieve all of the trim/color information for the Telluride including dealer address, exterior color...

It's the same one you said you used on your earlier post tonight for the white SXP. If it already has a VIN, shouldn't be three months to delivery. That doesn't make sense.

Oh that list.. great one! Yes something seems off. I was able to find the VIN and looked up the window sticker (which dealer told me today he did not have) but still confirmed mid March delivery! Something is off for sure. I will send them the VIN and window sticker tomorrow and ask them again. Thanks!
