UVO communication with the Telluride

On another thread, something got me wondering about the UVO app..
My question is how does UVO communicate to the Telluride?
I mean, I get the concept of connecting to your smartphone via Bluetooth and all.
But... when I have my cell phone with me and I want to start my Telluride via the UVO app, it is out of range for the Bluetooth. So how does the Telluride "listen" to communication to be able to remote start and set internal temp?

So when the 2yr subscription for UVO runs out, the monthly fee is $5-6. Are you essentially paying for LTE?

my Car told me uvo free for 1 year and so does the site. I thought they didn’t have the pricing set for uvo yet. Wish it was for at least 3 years free

In Canada we get 5 year uvo intelligence for free. Pricing for coverage after 5 years has not yet been released.

I have no idea, but when you agree to uvo you agree to Verizon. Is different in Canada.
