Order to delivery time

This is so helpful. I plan to place an order with Gerald Kia of Naperville, largest volume dealer in Illinois. Told me they have 12 SXs in queue and 7 in production. I was told 4 months from order to delivery for SXP. I’m changing my mind every hour on what color to choose. I know I want black interior but exterior Moss, Everlasting Silver and Ebony Black all look great. So hard to decide!

Good dealership. Every hour you wait delays your delivery... :) You can't go wrong.

You can go with an either /or option in the exterior color. Give them the top two and see what one you get.

Did they give you MSRP? They were unwilling to work with me initially. It wasnt until I drove home, went to my local dealership, and got a much better price that Gerald was willing to work with me.

Ended up saying nevermind to Gerald - didnt want to drive the 45minutes back to do the "NON REFUNDABLE KIA MANDATED $1000 DEPOSIT" they said I would need to do.

Wow. Where these guys get this is beyond me.

Newbi here sorry if I’m not posting correctly. I ordered gravity gray with gray interior SXP Telly on November 14th from Midwest Kia. They say they are biggest sellers in Kansas. Put the non refundable 1000 down and price was MSRP they estimated mid February at that time but no information since then. Not sure how to find the spreadsheet list I have been reading about or if Steven knows anything about it. Very excited to hopefully get my new Telly.

Our Moss Gray EX is in. Picking it up tomorrow morning. Just a hair over 3 months

It was a great ride home to Florida. I learned a lot about the safety features and used the ECO Drive Mode the whole way home and got over 26 MPG average for the 1000 mile trip. At one point, I even hit 30 MPG. So smooth. Thank you again to Jason and Lucas from Kia of Muncie.

Welcome to the forum!

this is the link to the thread with the spreadsheet that MichelW made.

You can ask your dealer if the car has been allocated yet. That is when Kia confirms they have assigned your car to be built and sent to your dealer. You will get an ETA of when the car will arrive at that point.

Happy New Years and welcome to the forum!

Thanks a bunch

I just got a call from Huffines Kia Corinth dealership where I ordered my Telluride from. I ordered an SXP Deep Moss with Dune Brown interior plus a few small extras. I ordered on November 21st. On the call he said he was happy to report my car would arrive on January 6th. This seems super fast! I was shocked to hear it was that fast that I’m slightly hesitant and would love to make certain it’s actually the vehicle I ordered and not just the same color and they are trying to offer me a “similar” one? @StephenCantrelle @DonovanHuffinesCorinth is there a way to validate the vehicle arriving on the 6th is actually the one I ordered on November 21st? Thank you!!
While not my client, I provided him with the ETA and Monroney Sticker. Vehicle in transit! We are a high volume store so Kia is giving us a lot of Tellurides a lot faster

Congrats man!! Glad I could answer your questions. @Smalls

Text me if you have any questions 817-903-1130 or contact your sales rep :)

Thanks so much @DonovanHuffinesCorinth! I appreciate the call so much and I’m super excited. This dealership has had nothing but great service and I look forward to being a Telluride owner soon!

Well, it’s been 16 weeks. Still waiting...

Hi, new to Forum and first time poster! We fell in love with Telly for our first SUV and ordered 10/6 from Lev Kia in Framingham, MA. Told 8-12 weeks. Hoped to have for New England winter. Now revised to “maybe?” March. After another Christmas struggling with New Hampshire snow in our 2WD sedan, we are feeling down. Any predictions/guidance? We ordered Gravity Gray SX, Gray interior. Not prestige. Now open to alt exteriors/black Napa interior and looking around.

I would use the production spreadsheet on the forum to search for your desired trim / color / options and then call those dealers near you. Most if not all will be pre-sold, but there is a chance of an unsold allocation or someone backing out of order.

You can create a filter view on a PC, and look at the VINs generated in December (possibly late November too...) and call around. A March delivery for an October order is still within the 4-6 month window... they probably told you 2-3 months just to get you to put in a deposit. Demand is high for this one.

I was looking at the spreadsheet and found a car similar to what I have booked headed to my dealer (AWD vs FWD). So I called them. They mentioned that they don't have info for the other car but the one I booked has an ETA of 2/25. I ordered one on 11/30. No VIN yet. I asked if it's been allocated and they said yes. Seems unreal that I would get an update so soon. Any reason I should be wary?

I think you answered your own question.

So what's confusing to me is how they can tell me an ETA when there is no VIN. I don't believe they would lie to me. Has this happened with anybody else?
An ETA is exactly what it is. Estimated. That's what we are told on the side from KIA. At this point they probably don't even know. VIN and arrival date are towards very end of process.

So I ordered an white SX today with the tow package for 48,089 including taxes before my trade in. So I would take another 7,000 off that. 41,000 sound like a decent deal out the door?? Also was told wait time is 6-8 months.

Is it a good deal? If you are happy with it. You can find MSRP on kia.com for your selected options and then add the appropriate sales tax and dealer fees. Does that add to the 48,809 that you mention? If so, then yes, a good deal. Wait time that long is possible depending on your dealer's allocations and number of orders.
