Kia SX package price increase?

Dealer in Chicago suburbs claiming that AWD SX prestige package price increased $600 effective Jan3 and it is not showing yet on the Kia.com build sight. We put a deposit down for a build and they were quoting April 4 or we can back out and get our deposit back.
Any truth to the increase in MSRP for base or the SX prestige package?
On Jan 4 when we were going over the numbers the dealer kept it confusing with way they presented the MSRP and Options. Not clearly spelled out. We unfortunately caught the extra unexpected increase after we got home from dealer with deposit taken. This issue of the SX AWD price increase dealer comment is after we questioned them on it today Jan6 morning.

Jan 6 afternoon Update. Dealer presented a PDF copy of the Kia Motors America MSRP price increase announcement. Signed by William Peffer VP Sales Operations. On Corp Irvine CA letterhead.
It appears true that price increased effective Jan3. Sent to my dealer at 10:30am Jan4 by the Midwest district manager.
SX AWD Prestige up $600. Other AWD trims up $200 or 300. LX, EX up 200. S and SX up 300. This is for AWD. The FWD models and trims up $200-300

KIA raised prices on all models not just SX. Also Destination went up $75. So $675 total

SX Prestige up by $600. SX non prestige up by less.

This was just released and is effective immediately on 2020 KIA Telluride. Also...$75 has been added to destination.

Typically, does this mean that if we placed an order with a dealer (back in Oct for me), that the increase gets passed along to us, even though we agreed on price back then? I'm assuming so, since the incentives also are dynamic and would be whatever they are when taking delivery of the vehicle.

If your build does not have a vin or window sticker you will more than likely get the increase. We are still awaiting info from KIA.

My take is we'll get hit w/ the increase even with an order placed way ahead of it. I looked at my order contract and line item #2 covers this. Sucks, but I've come to terms w/ it.

We have a SX-P Black Copper on order. The increase and the wait will be worth it. I’m shocked it’s not a lot more.

The only issue is that just means that they'll still get the car at the dealer most likely, and jack on huge fees above MSRP and make more $$$ for themselves.

Price increases happen, but you won't hear me say a) I'm okay with it and b) "I'm surprised it's not even more."

Yes Kia has a hit in it's hands, but let's not carried away. The Telluride was the right car at the right time but it hasn't deviated much from what Kia has been doing over the past few years. Kia has been doing value "luxury" for a while now, it's just that the masses have begun to realize that. That said, no, I do not want to pay more for a car I ordered 3 months ago . But, it is what it is.
