• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... As if more frenzy needed at this point!

No kidding. I can't find a Gravity Gray SX-P to test drive within 100 miles of me... Need a car this summer...but I don't want to order one until I can see and drive on in person.

Test driving an SX-P? Forget it. Most if not all at a dealership will be pre-sold, and most dealerships won't let someone test drive a pre-sold vehicle. You can test drive another trim level, and then order an SX-P if you wish.

You might get to look at an SX-P - I was able to at least look at one by chance before I ordered. Southwest Kia of Austin might have one on the showroom floor - simply because they have a massive markup on it - but I seriously doubt they'll let you test drive it.

In the Dealer Inventory section, Donovan at Huffines Corinth and Stephen Cantrelle at Classic Kia of Carrolton have had SX-Ps recently available.

If you want it by this summer, I'd order now from a high volume dealer such as those above. There's no risk to you. Order it, when it comes in, take it for a test drive and then decide. If you don't want it, someone else will. Stephen posted about an available SX-P yesterday (presumably someone backed out of the order) - and it sold in 30 minutes.

Can also call Moritz Kia up near Dallas - they get quite a few prestige trims.

See this post and discussion too (see a few posts above this one in the thread to learn how to filter production spreadsheet on forum).

In San Antonio, it shows that Ancira Kia was allocated two Black Copper Dune Brown SXPs vehicles on 12/17 - they might be in transit still. They are most certainly sold. World Car Kia dealerships (multiple) also had a few allocated to them in December. Probably already been delivered to customers... but there's a chance that they are in transit.

Very risky! In my area even though dealers had SXP, test drives were only allowed on EX :)!

you can test drive a lower model to at least get a feel for engine!

also, you should order with a REFUNDABLE deposit.. you can always cancel if the test drive doesn’t live up to your expectations!

We happened to visit a dealer with a fully loaded SXP the same day someone backed out of their order. They also told us about another one they had available that we probably could have test drove. The only reason I would recommend seeing the SXP before ordering is to see the headliner, I actually didn't like it when I saw it in person.

Sure, but I was talking directly to Marc. He's in San Antonio. He also wants an SXP because of HUD and he likes the headliner.

Correct - I really like the added features of the prestige package. My wife and I might go see if we could find a lower trim model to drive. In Frisco, TX (suburb north of Dallas) for work and Tellurides are everywhere up here. So envious every time I see one.

Yes, Dallas has been receiving a good supply at the Huffines dealerships, Classic Kia of Carrollton and the Moritz dealership(s). I think on average, the Dallas dealerships have good reputations relative to those in Houston, Austin and San Antonio. In SA, only have World Car dealerships and Ancira has gotten a few - but relative to the population, not many.

Can you speak to the mothership about cancelling production of every other Kia vehicle and just make Tellurides!! Do you/they make any money on selling Fortes?? 🙏

They have really done a good job with the Forte..it looks great now. Only vehicles Kia puts out now that I think are ugly are the Sportage, Soul, and Rio Soul was fine until this latest face lift

I have owned the each of the first 3 generations of the Hyundai Santa Fe and I find that I forget that I am driving a Kia now because it is so similar to Hyundai in almost every way
