Order to delivery time

7/26/19. That should have been delivered by now... you better get with your dealer and demand to find out what's going on.

Called the dealer today. They have a VIN and ETA of 2/11. So that will put it just shy of 6-1/2 months for anyone else with a similar order date. Thanks for the help.

Looks like they pushed back my delivery date. Ugh this is so exhausting. ETA was 2/20. Now 2/27. Ordered 8/22

Looking at the spreadsheet, I only see VIN's generated since 1/1/2020 for EX with premium package and none for the non-premium/standard EX option. I ordered one with no-premium (prefer the 2nd row bench) on 11/30 with FA and ETA of 2/22. Trying to understand how Kia operates. They plan to build out only EX premium in Jan and then switch back/mix it up with non-premium in Feb? Has any dealer ordered an EX non-premium since December 2019, and the order was accepted by Kia?

Placed an order for someone in Vegas for EX AWD Bench.. on 12/16 got filled today and ETA is 03-09

I ordered a moss green SX prestige today. My dealer said they are getting 2 Tellurides a month and there are 12 ahead of me. Told me I'm looking at 6-8 months to get my car. I knew there would be a long wait, but this honestly blew me away. It's a small dealership. I'm wondering if a larger dealer in and around a big city would be able to get one faster? My guy said he would not blame me at all if I could find one faster and to go with it...

Not necessarily, but you should post the name of the dealership so that it can be verified that they are actually getting prestige. A 5-6 month wait for prestige is realistic.

Thanks for your quick reply. Charlie O'Baugh Kia is my dealer. I would prefer to stay local and deal with them.

Charlie O'Baugh Kia has had 33 total Telluride allocations through 1/13/2020. They are a very small dealership. Of those 33, they've only had 4 Prestige- they have been averaging 1 Prestige allocated to them per month since September. So, your question to them should be how many Prestige orders are in front of you? In total, they get allocated anywhere from 2-4 Tellurides per month - but they won't all be Prestige. Hopefully many of those 12 orders in front of you aren't Prestige...

I would also watch the dealer inventory section - people back out of Prestige vehicles all the time for various reasons (it is 6 months after their order...). Other than that, you can search to find good dealerships in the VA area from other members if you want to order from a higher volume dealership.

For reference:

The 10 highest volume dealerships in Virginia (and total allocations through 1/13:

Koons Kia (194)
Ourisman Chantilly Kia (184)
Safford Kia of Fredericksburg (114)
Brown's Manassas Kia (108)
Southern Kia Greenbrier (102 - but only 6 prestige - not recommended)
Dulles Kia (90)
Fairfax Kia (80)
Beyer Kia Falls Church (68)
CMA's Colonial Kia (68)
West Broad Kia (59)

Is there a way to find out how many telluride a dealership in Canada is getting? I Ordered a white SXL, this is the Canadian version of SXP on December 27, 2019. The dealer is Longman's Makrham Kia located in Markham Ontario Canada. I called yesterday and asked for an update, they said they got an earlier ETA for January 31, 2020. Is this accurate?

1 month wait seems too good to be true.

Unfortunately, I don't see any details for Longman's Markham Kia - the data I posted is from the production stats spreadsheet, which has limited information on Canadian VINs. Some are marked as Canada market - I don't remember where he was sourcing that information. I'd reach out to the author of that spreadsheet - @Michelw - he's in Canada also.

If there are any dealers within an acceptable driving distance around you, you should check the spreadsheet to see if they do a higher volume/show more allocations. My dealer (luckily!) for my area does a pretty high volume. I just placed my order last week (it was entered into Kia system 1/19) and they called tonight (1/21) to say it was allocated to them. White SX prestige, grey nappa interior with wheel locks. He could see all the matching details. He said it should be in 3/28, but would know more in a few days.

when I checked the sheet before, my dealer had almost 200 tellurides from the beginning. Some local dealers had 30-50...! If they’re getting the allocations and you get your order in with them, chances are it will be faster. You an always put down a deposit with your dealer and another and see who comes thru first. As long as it’s refundable, and good dealers are!

you can still get service at your preferred Kia dealer vs where you bought it!

Just finalized my order for a snow white pearl SX prestige with grey nappa interior AWD. West Herr Kia, Orchard Park, NY. They told me they submit their orders once a month and it would be transmitted 1st thing Monday morning, 1/20 and there should be an acceptance by 1/24 with a status update for me. Expected delivery, I have been repeatedly assured, is end of March. Could potentially spill over into 1st or 2nd week of April if something doesn’t flow as usual.
Just got a call tonight from the dealer, order allocated! he didn’t get a notice yet, but had checked in the system. All my specific deets down to the wheel locks. He thinks expected delivery 3/28/20 - give or take. I’m so excited!

So the order I placed with you last week might get filled next month but theirs was a different trim. I guess it all depends on the allocation per trim. You must spend half your time tracking customer orders. Trying to be patient! LOL We appreciate all you do for us crazy customers!

Correct.. the non SXP are easier to fill closer to request date as not as many people are in line.. I still sell other Kia’s but it feels like 90% of my day is dedicated to Telluride orders.. someone walks in and ask for a Soul... and I’m like cool I can take a breather haha

Have experienced madness like this for any other Kia cars? Or any other cars if you worked somewhere else?
