KIA Muncie - What was the time from order to delivery of your Telluride?

So I think it's a lie for other reasons, but would a dealership make that deal? Is the profit so good on the Telluride that it would make up for the cost and potential losses on 200+ non-Tellurides?

You would not loose on 200 cars. If you did you wouldn't be selling KIA's period. 50 Tellurides can't make up for 200 vehicles.

Kia does make offers like this.. I just haven’t seen it at that volume but it’s possible he is telling the truth. My store was offered and we accepted last year 5 SX Prestige with no wait time if we took 1 K900.
You will see these offers when the manufacturers are trying to hit their internal numbers.. not very often but it does happen with the higher volume stores.

For the Friendly Kia example and to answer if a store would do it... it would depend on the sheer volume the dealership does and if they are willing to accept that much weight on their floor plan.

If receiving 200 cars at an average cost of let’s say 25k adds 5 million to floor plan..

You got to be a player in the Kia game to add that much onto your current floor plan and not take heat from the owner.. several several reasons behind this..

Strings are pulled at the highest levels.. shoot look at the Southwest Kia group... think it a Coincidence the owner is on the board for Kia North America and every one of his stores are in the highest level of allocation..

All politics and business..

I found a dealer in Ohio that has one with the VIP package listed for 49K on sale, half tempted to trade the Stinger in on it.

The dealer I dealt with had a k900 on the showroom floor probably a 2019? Marked down to 42000 from 63000. If I didn’t need the room that the telluride offers I wold have jumped on it. Absolutely beautiful car. Wonder if it sold.

Just checked and Kia website says you have two of these beauties. If that Chroma Blue had a Beige Nappa interior, I might have driven by to think about.

To be completely honest... We had someone place an sx Fwd order 3 weeks ago and it's on it's way in January. How did this happen? Because the KIA God's said so. I wish what we did was a science however it is not. All KIA Dealers were told to use allocation to fill sold orders. We are doing so. Delivered vehicles at every store could come quicker if dealers did just that however they want inventory on lots with high mark ups and also get some of the order/sold pie as well. This will all catch up eventually... You do what the Mother Ship says and that is what we are doing. Orders are backed up at every dealer across the nation. MotorTrend SUV Of The Year has just pushed that to an entirely new level. After the award dealers found a way to raise prices even higher. We won't be a part of that madness.

Jason, I’ve been reading a ton of threads on here and it seems you guys have a loyal following! For Costco pricing and sales I’m assuming I contact Costco and they contact you guys? I’m in California so do you guys ship out to California? I’d rather not drive cross country!
