If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... New Owner, New to the Forum

Hello Fellow Telluridians,

I'm new here and wanted to say hello, picked up the S trim yesterday in Florida (I'm from Northern Va) to work around the crazy markups.

This place has been helpful so far, I think I'll stick around.
Welcome to the forum....but your post is worthless without pics
:devilish:;)

Sure are a lot more Tellurides in the background as well.

Welcome.....Telluride is an amazing addition to our "automotive history!" Enjoy yours......so far I am enjoying mine: the right combination of tech, capability and comfort for an amazingly lower price than some competitors !!

We replaced my wife’s Accord EXL coupe since we are expecting our 2nd child in August. Love it so far (but I still drive a measly Civic lol)

Congrats!
I learned new vocabulary today, 'measly'. (English is the second language to me.)
I drive a 'measly' Civic, too. My Telluride is my wife's for week days.

Welcome! What dealership did you purchase from, if you don't mind sharing for folks? There does seem to be quite a few Tellurides in the background of your pic. Florida is flush with Tellurides.

Picked it up from Brandon Kia, working with John Hyde over there, he was awesome! I added another pic to the thread of my Telluride outside of my Va home because it appears people think I just took a pic at the dealer and posted here. Nobody has time for that crap lol it’s mine. I’ll attach the same pic to this reply.

Yea I took that at the dealership, this one is at home. Lots of white S models in Florida. None in VA that aren’t marked up $10K.

I am in NOVA and just walked into Leesburg Kia to buy same trim and color at MSRP

That's the truth! I've had my SX on order since early December so I'm always on the look out. Work took me to Cocoa Beach / Cape Canveral area mid-January and I counted 5 within 30 minutes. Here in Wisconsin I'm lucky to see 1 every 30 days! It's crazy!

It is crazy, they don't last more than a week when they come into our area, and people are already first in line when they do. Hope you get yours soon man.

Went fine, actually. Paid MSRP back in November. The smaller dealers are willing to deal at MSRP for the lower trims.
Well I'm happy you didn't pay more than MSRP, everyone has different buying circumstances. We didn't want to settle on exterior color (white) interior color (gray) and captain seats on the S trim, FWD, we found that specific combination (12 within 1,000 miles of Ashburn) in Florida and jumped on it. It also came with premium options like side step bars, illuminated scuff plates and the cargo cover and folding mat, did not come with options we did not like such as the roof rack rails, interior lighting kit and tow package. So we found the perfect car at the perfect price and didn't overpay. I used miles to fly there and stay in a hotel, also we are expecting our second kid in 5 months and wanted to get this purchase and car shopping done and settled, no time to wait around for the perfect one to come to a small dealer down the street and hope it has everything we want and that no one else prices us out on the rare combination. Have a great day bro.
