Order to delivery time

Finally got our SXP - Dark Moss / Dune / Tow / Interior Light / Scuff Plates / Rear bumper protection / Mud guards....

• Nov 29 - Ordered it from CityKIA in Orlando (great help from "non-pushy" sales rep, Jaime Baca). Agreed at MSRP. Initially told 8-10 weeks.
• Dec-Feb - Frequent communication (every 2 weeks) with sales rep and GM, sending them links to build info/stats from this forum (the awesome xls and lookup tool). It helped them too and showed I knew what happened/status, minimizing the risk being played.
• Jan 27 - Was told by GM it was built as we spoke (not sure if that was correct info)
• Feb 26 - VIN created/showed up. Price had gone up $675 due to KIAs Jan increase
• Mar 4 - Car arrived to dealer in the afternoon. Someone saw it online and went to the dealer offering way over MSRP to get it instead of me, but CityKIA honored my order.
• Mar 5 - Picked up my new beautiful SXP after work. Everything went smooth, paper work took about 3h and no tries for markup or adjustments of my trade in etc. Was missing Cargo mats and Cargo net, but learned KIAs system can only handle 6 options! and I ordered 8. But they wrote it on the order as text, and they will ship to me soonest it arrive at no cost.

Summary, very happy and love my new Telluride!!

Was told CityKIA now have decided not to sell new orders at MSRP (much due they learned how much extra they can markup currently)

That is sweet. I really think this is the iconic interior/exterior color combination for the 2020 Telluride. I would of got it too, but I wanted to go with white because of the climate I live in.

Yes, well I really think yesterday was at least a short-term bottom. There was a real wash-out at the Open when the SP futures went from 5% limit down to the 7% limit and trading halt in a millisecond. One of the most frightening things I have ever seen in the markets.

Ordered an SX AWD with Prestige package on 10/5/2019. We were told 6-8 weeks max when we placed the order. We've just reached five months and the last update I received was that there is no update. Hoping that it comes in soon.

Unfortunately, you will be paying the new price - a total of $675 for SX-P as we've discussed on the forum. The price is set once production is planned... and for a Nov order, it still hasn't been allocated. Any contract would leave a provision for manufacturer to increase price - it is also grounds for getting a deposit back for those that have non-refundable deposit. This is because the car hasn't actually been ordered until it is picked up from Kia via KFOS or outside that system.

- 1st update was BuildID provided by Kia Jan 31 w/ and ETA of 22-23 Mar.
- update from dealer (confirmed by Kia) Mar 06 was 28-29 Mar (attached info provided)
- update from dealer today came with VIN & is still showing Mar 29, but 'may be earlier, fingers crossed'

Good news. I tried working with them but they wanted to charge over MSRP. I am in San Antonio and ended up going to the DFW area to find a dealership that would let me order without any dealer add ons. Did you pay over MSRP?

nope - just @ MSRP less whatever then-current incentives are available upon collection date, in writing with OrderID.

PS/FYI: my Monroney is now showing here via the link, & i have asked the dealer to correct the few missing Accessories (Illuminated Scuff plates, Cargo Cover, Cargo Mat) as only the Floormats are listed.

For an April 9th ETA - any guesses on around when I would see a vin on the lookup website?

The VIN lookup site hasn't been updated in over a week. Anyone have an idea when that will happen?

My final timeline is very atypical.
I ordered from a very low volume dealer (didn't know that at the time). According to the Telly Stats page they hover somewhere around the bottom 10% of the 30 Kia dealers in IL. Somehow I got some luck combined with the fact that there were only 2 orders ahead of me.

Ordered: 1/10
VIN: 3/3
Off the truck today: 3/10

Taking delivery this weekend..

Set up checkpoints on the way from the factory to your dealer.

I got the call and my order is at the dealership! Exactly 6 days ahead of ETA.
I took over someone else’s order, but my understanding it was ordered in August. I took over the order early December (they had ETA at the time)

will pick up tomorrow!
