They had 13 show up at Moritz yesterday (Alliance), picked my EX up today. Looking at the builds, looks like yours may have been built this week, at least I thought I saw a SX matching your description come back on the VIN look up yesterday. Good luck, it was a GREAT experience, in and out pretty quick.

Congrats on getting your vehicle. I'm now on my 5th delivery date from Kia. Ordered 9/26, VIN assigned 2/13/20, ETA 2/26, then 2/29, then 3/9, then 3/13, now 3/20. I'm in NC with a dealer with a fairly high volume. Super frustrating.

Ordered an SX AWD with Prestige package on 10/5/2019. We were told 6-8 weeks max when we placed the order. We've just reached five months and the last update I received was that there is no update. Hoping that it comes in soon.

Same here. I ordered mine Nov 28th and told 6-8 weeks. Last time I spoke to the Rep, he literally laughed when I asked if there was any update and said that I "might" get it in July and that he has people waiting who placed orders LAST July that are still waiting. Unbelieveable. On Tuesday I called 12 dealers outside my area here in Nor Cal and the lowest mark up was $2995 and the highest was $8995. No thanks, paying sticker is bad enough.

Which dealership was this? Asking simply so others on here know one to avoid. Any dealer telling you 6-8 weeks (esp. back in Nov) is very clearly lying just to make a sale. Let alone when he knows what kind of backlog is in front of you and how slowly those are being filled...

Taketime, I see no one answered your question yet. My understanding is that the date on the Lookup website is the date the VIN number was created at the Kia manufacturing plant in Georgia. It seems cars have been arriving at dealers between 3-5 weeks after VIN creation.

But hopefully someone on this thread who knows for sure will reply to you.
