Order to delivery time

Hi Everyone....Hope ya'll staying safe and keeping busy! So here is my Telluride story ....It's nothing out of the ordinary but I figured I would share and maybe get some feedback to what I can expect next. I ordered a Black/ Grey SX P with towing on 11/20/19 here in NC. I was told maximum of 12 weeks (2/16/20). I have enough vehicles to not worry about the delivery date....I was just excited to get the SUV like everyone here. I called in Feb and earlier this month and was told I had some orders in front of me. This morning...cell phone rings....it says KIA on called ID.....The GM of the store said that he had good news. They entered the order in the KYOS (?) system and he expects it on May 15, 2020. I asked for a VIN but he said I wouldn't get that until maybe mid to late April.......and that's really it.....I have read a bunch on here over the past few months. I am still a newbie with a lot of the lingo.......Hopefully those who have been waiting will finally get the Telly soon. Thank u!

The wait time averages 4-6 months. Some get lucky and get an order in 90 days and some have horror stories that have had them waiting 8 months. It all depends on the dealership and what their sales volume and allocations have been combined with how many people are ahead of you. As for your order date...you are very early in the process. Get comfortable. It is going to be a while.

I am very excited to finally get mine and I am hoping to hear that it is ready. I called the dealer and they are running a slim staff due to the current virus situation but they are checking to see if it is on a truck that came in. Currently awaiting a call back :fingers crossed:

I was provided an early June estimate for delivery. That seemed a bit further out than I would have expected, but I am guessing they were just being cautious in their delivery estimates. This seems to mostly jive with the mid-May data you were given (you are a little closer to GA than I am).

This all sound about right to the experts on this forum?

I caught a white SXP at the end of February that was already coming to this dealer after looking all over. I lucked out because today is the last day they are open due to COVID-19. They got the order to shut down tonight. Currently doing the paperwork.

Sounds pretty good. My dealership received enough allocations to add my order this month...but I don't have an ETA yet. But will probably be a June ETA as well. I hope they are just playing it safe and it comes sooner than that.

Well the day finally arrived. The white sxp arrived at dealer today 2 hours after they told me it still had a eta of 3-26. Ordered on 9-12-19 from Evansville Kia. Picking it up now , oh and yes I was lucky enough to get the price increase.

There are over 80 Tellurides on order through Luther Bloomington Kia and they said maybe September.

Well - interesting twist on my order status. This past month my dealership received 9 allocations for SXP models. I was number 8. Oddly myself and the individual on #9 on the list didn't receive an ETA like everyone else. Then today my dealership calls to tell me my order was dropped.

Now for the good news...order books for 2020's have been closed. So next month when KFOS opens back up - I will be first in line at my dealership for a 2021. That means my original theory was correct - 2021's were going to come before next fall. Now we wait to see when the pricing, options and content changes for the 2021's come out. I predict that we will have information on 2021's. Here is my wish list:

- Add remote start to the key fob
- Give us the full digital dash from the Palisade
- Put on the new KIA logo

The wait continues.
