• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Has anyone purchased the LX? I’m torn between the LX and S 8 seater. I honestly like the grill on the LX better than the S. I’m also not a fan of the heart shaped rims on the S, or the 2 tone (body color and brushed silver) door handles. I plan to plasti-dip the rims anyways, as well as add a full size roof basket. Just curious if those of you that purchased the LX are happy with your decision. I’m coming from a 2005 Ford Escape, and am fine without interior add ons (heated seats, sunroof, etc).

Sounds like you like the LX better and don't need the S added features, so go cheaper..they have the same interior sofina and same screen.

I agree. Don’t spend more if you don’t need it. Personally I like the look of the S trim wheels, but if you don’t then don’t buy it. Every time you see it you’ll be frustrated at the look and that’s no way to live. 😛

Thanks for the advice. It will be my vehicle, but also the family vehicle (my husband and 3 kids) for road trips, etc. (which we take a lot of). In all honesty, we have looked, considered, and can afford the LX, S, and EX, but are not sure we need all the extras. I’m kind of a less is more person, and the LX offers a lot of standard features. My husband is fine with whatever, but does really like the heated seats and power lumbar on the S, and cooled seats and leather on EX. I may have to get him a seat pad with heat/cooling and lumbar if we go with the LX. Does anyone think the grill of the LX makes it look more rugged (what I’m going for; I was a happy Jeep Wrangler owner before kids)? I’d love the opinion of anyone who’s purchased the LX. Do you miss the features the S/EX offers? Was cost the only reason you chose the LX?

I went with the EX based on the price (only a little more than the S, but well below the SX) AND because I have always wanted ventilated seats!

Be glad you got them - they work particularly well on the Telluride. I had them on my Highlander and they weren't nearly this good.

Kia's ventilated seats have all been great.. The heated steering wheels don't seem to be uniform though. The wife's Sorento gets so hot I have to turn it off (she thinks it's perfect). The Stinger gets less hot than hers and I think it's perfect....lol

I love my LX.

It still has a lot of features. I also am a “less is more” kinda guy.

The other models have some really cool options. But, I can do without the “ cheek chillers” lol.
I believe it’s still a lot of vehicle for the LX price

I think you’ll be happy with the LX. I believe it will ride a little better with the higher profile tires compared with the S. Similarly, the EX I drove prior to buying my SX was a bit more ‘supple’, but the headlight brightness were the main reason I chose the SX.

Thanks! I'm now 90% set on the LX. I'm glad to hear from some owners who are happy with their LX, and don't regret not buying a higher model. Now time to stop overthinking this and go buy one!
