Sorry if this has been asked but I need a specific answer.
I have never purchase a new car or out of state. My initial price sheet breakdown from the dealership I'm working with includes taxes and registration fees in which I assumed from my state. But when I spoke to a different associate this weekend, I was told that once the vehicle has been delivered out here, I would still pay my local sales tax and must do the registration and possibly have it inspected to make sure it's within regulations.
What would be the usual process on buying a car out of state? Are all the things I mentioned could be done by the dealership as if I'm buying locally or I gotta do the leg work? Just don't want the extra hassle and headache.
Thanks in advance!
