• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... SXP vs Jeep Cherokee Overland?

If you and your wife have not test drove both, then you should. Not sure if they allow for test drive with this pandemic. The test drive did it for my wife when we were looking at Q7&8, Pilot, Odessey, RX350L, and Macan. Very happy with our Telluride SXP. Good luck!

I'm trading in my 2016 Grand Cherokee Summit for an SXP. The Grand Cherokee design is getting very long in the tooth and is now very behind in tech. It hasn't changed in 10 years. The new one is coming out sometime in the next couple of years, along with the new Grand Wagoneer, but based on the tech that is in the new Ram 1500 I doubt it will be better than the Telluride. The only advantage in the Jeep is you can get the Hemi. I really wish the Telly had a bigger engine option, but that's not stopping me from getting one. Plus, as mentioned above, the Kia warranty is incredible. I like my Jeep GC, but the Telly makes it feel extremely uncomfortable and antiquated.

My wife and I drive a ‘15 Grand Cherokee V-6 Overland and a ‘20 Telluride SXP. I agree with all of this. The Telluride is light years ahead of the Jeep on interior room, ride, technology, interior design, and fuel economy. The Telluride feels modestly more powerful than the Jeep despite roughly similar powertrains. The Telluride is much quieter on the highway — there’s some wind noise, but virtually none of the road noise that’s found in the Jeep. Handling is similar across the two — neither is exactly a Porsche Cayenne. I prefer the Jeep’s one piece panoramic moonroof to the Telluride’s two-piece sunroof, and the Jeep has a bigger fuel tank which is helpful on longer drives. Unless the Grand Cherokee can be purchased for $15k+ less, I’d strongly suggest the Telluride.

Drove the jeep and liked it.

Drove the Telluride and loved it. Ordered there and then.

Jeeps breakdown a lot. Time will tell, but I think the Telluride will be fairly reliable.
