That is old functionality - or at least mine has done that since I got it on the last day of Feb.I haven't tried my Android auto yet but my media player splits screen with my weather app

Aha. The split screen has always been there. Either its at Home where three screens are displayed, or if you are on Maps, then you can split it to have Radio or Media.I haven't tried my Android auto yet but my media player splits screen with my weather app
Can we get confirmation from anyone who has upgraded? That would be a great improvement and one of the reasons I often default to built-in navigation rather than Waze. The built-in navigation is generally very good but it doesn’t handle traffic or estimated arrival times very well in my experience...not that traffic has been a big deal lately.I think what they mean us you can split CP/AA with another screen from the head unit (not CP/AA)
I’m waiting for the download to be available on my side. Can we get confirmation from anyone who has upgraded? This was expected, its not a surprise. The system is splitting the screen between the apps of the system. Radio is an app, Maps is an app and etc.. So the same for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.somebody in the Facebook group already confirmed you cannot have Apple Music or iTunes and Waze split screen. But you can probably use the UVO media with Waze.

Apps from the phone and compatible with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto will be shown within the same frame of Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. They can't be shown outside that specfic frame.
Google has made it possible already, now the car manufacturers need to update their systems.Having widescreen android will not be possible until Google makes it possible. All the vehicle is doing is projecting what the phone wants on the screen of the entertainment center. Having side by side android apps is also not possible right now because the Telluride uses a non-standard sized screen.
No download yet, hopefully later today.
Do your dealerships not do this for free? Whenever I take my Telluride in for servicing, they install any available updates at no cost. I also read somewhere on this forum that this was free for 10 years to qualified owners. What's a qualified owner? Apparently Kia mails you a discount code that you simply enter when you are at the checkout during the purchase of the update which takes the price and makes it $0.Doubtful. Any new Tellurides at this point were probably made back in March, since the plant is shut down. I would negotiate with the dealer to have them upgrade for you prior to leaving the dealership.
You guys waiting waiting for the download wouldve been better off just ordering the USB it seems.Still nothing available to download. Making an appointment at the dealer takes time, dropping off, getting a ride home, etc. I want to do this myself.
save $25.. ... I waited 6 months for the car so the few weeks is nothing...lolYou guys waiting waiting for the download wouldve been better off just ordering the USB it seems.
