Order to delivery time

I called +1 706-902-7777 you need your order number which you can get from the deposit receipt. It should be on top. And then they’ll ask you about the car what trim, color, packages... and for sure your name and the dealers name. They’ll tell you they’ll call you back in 3-4 days. Another member here did the same thing after i mentioned calling them last week. They told him the same thing they’ll call him in 4 days.
Well, just attempted to get more info from that phone number provided. The lady that attempted to help me was incredibly nice! But it turns out that how they were going to get my ETA was by just contacting the dealer I am buying the car through for the ETA they have in their system, so that really doesn't do me any good since the dealer already gave me an ETA, but told me they highly doubt that ETA is correct (probably delayed). So I'm not sure if this is what they did for you since your dealer didn't give you an ETA, and they just forced the dealers hand for the ETA. Either way, the woman profusely apologized that I talked to that she couldn't give me more info, but I don't blame her one bit. Crazy times we're living in, not including the craziness over this vehicle to begin with!

This is KIA Customer Assistance and not the "factory."
Very true. I may have contacted kmmgusa to begin with when I called, but once I told the operator what I was wanting to discuss (acquiring an ETA), I was quickly transferred to customer service.

My car is now up on dealer website!! That just means it has left factory correct?

Also I know dealer to dealer is different, but I plan putting $25,000 down on our vehicle, with weirdness of bank lobby's being closed, do you think dealer would accept personal check, or is it 100x easier to get a cashier check.

When you give a dealer a check, they usually process it immediately and hand it back to you...no need for cashier’s checks anymore.

Well done. Finally someone on here that isn't talking about a lease or 84 months payments to find a way to afford this vehicle. I too will be putting down the same on our car. And I will be using a cashier's check. You should be able to get one through the bank drive through.

Yeah the lady who answers the phone doesnt have additional info she’ll have to send it over to sales. But yeah my problem was not getting any info about the car from my dealer. As you said they forced it out!

This will be my first car payment, and first "new" car purchase, even though I'm not driving, and I'm already not looking forward to it. Plan to have paid off 2 years max. Have always bought $10,000 or less vehicles cash from auction as a vehicle to me is a point-a to point-b and I'd rather have disposable income in savings. Worst I've came out so far is the 2014 Chevy Sonic RS 6-speed I just sold, paid $9,000 for it at auction in 2016, sold for $6000. 4-years, $3000, not bad. Taking over wife's 10 year old Wrangler, Sonic was to small for twins on the way.

The good news is that you can keep it a lot longer than 4 years... so congrats to you! I'd ask the dealer if they will take a personal check. Shouldn't be an issue if they have telecheck and can clear it. But, you may have to contact your bank to to ensure it clears.

If it's on the VIN lookup, it just means it's been produced. It should be entering the transport phase soon - your dealer will be able to see its status on their screen. Ask for a screenshot. Excited for you.

I’m buying too! Actually I never leased. Will sell my wife’s cat for 5k and add another 5k for downpayment. She’s the one who’s gonna be driving it. Will probably take me 2.5 years to pay it off

Edit: Just did an online chat with dealer. Confirmed it's my vehicle, and now that it's on the site, just means the car has been scanned at factory for transport, usually arrive within a week, but have seen them arrive within a few days to 2 weeks after they've shown up on the site. The wait knowing it's almost here is almost worst than the "I don't know when it's going to get here" wait. Factory is 8 hours from me, little less than 10 hours from dealership. Figure if it's loaded and sent out today with all the other dealer stops on the way to Missouri driver has to do, I should expect early next week (me pulling those numbers out of my anxious head)

Excited for you that it is on its way! Makes waiting for mine that much more real. I can wait too. Setting aside cash every month. I may have mine almost paid off by the time I hear it's in transport. Nice to have a little good news in the midst of this crazy world today. Send pictures when you get it!!

Wondering if people can start posting when they ordered and when they received their Kia (or at least the vin).

I ordered an sx prestige with tow on March 13. Nothing yet.

Many of the threads here have gotten hare to follow woth with the side conversations, it would be helpful to just keep this to dates for people’s reference.
I ordered my Black/Copper SX Prestige Pkg AWD back on Jan.15th. No word yet. Factory was closed for 2 weeks last month (Apr), so that didn't help. Plus, all salespeople were sheltered in place at home. That didn't help either. So, still waiting....when its here, its here i quess...San Jose, Calif

Ordered March 5th, was already scheduled for April 6, got Vin# May 7th, showed up on dealers site today, hopefully will be here next week.

I ordered mine on Dec 19th. Have been following up on the Telluride lookup app however I don’t see my Vin # I had to call and my dealer provided it to me.

I checked the Telluride lookup and I see a big gap in Vin # after 3/25.

Either way I was told I should be getting mine by end of this Month.

Based on the lookup it looks like Black Copper is the least produced color. White is the most common. Co worker ordered hers a day after mine same dealer and she got hers on Feb25th. She had ordered Gravity Grey.

If you have a VIN, it must be on the lookup app. What VIN did they give you? Black Copper is an SX only color - that is why it is the least produced color.

Plant was shut down for a month. Did you order from Moritz Kia? One was produced for them on 3/25, but they may have not been able to transport it for a month.
