Could you explain this please. They seem straightforward on their pricing.

I've purchased my last two pickups through Luther in Fargo. They were reasonable to deal with.
I've dealt with Luther Brookdale Honda in the past. While they were fairly low pressure, their pricing has never been competitive when I've looked at new Hondas. The Kia dealer I liked in the Twin Cities was Lupient. We never got as far as pricing so I can't speak to that but they did actually have a demo when no one else did and I was able to drive it twice a couple weeks apart and it was very low pressure. The salesman also kept me updated on incoming units. I ultimately chose my local dealership.

Pricing is not the issue. It's telling customers one thing and doing something differently. Promising something when they know it's not even in play. Hiding information from the customer. Just my personal experience or people close to me. Not all the people employed at the business, but most. It makes a person think it's rooted in the dealership training when they spew the same nonsense at different locations.

Well - for one they don't know how to access available dealer training material...probably one of those dealerships where the salesman don't know much about what they are selling. I hate it when I go to a dealership and the salesman only wants to talk about what payment I want - but has to go ask someone else when you ask a specific question about a car. SMH

That's probably 95% of car salesmen.

When I go into the dealership for oil changes, I like to brush up on a particular model for about 10 minutes before I go and while I'm waiting for my service, show interest in that vehicle on the showroom floor and giggle to myself while some salesman talks out his/her rear end about it for 10 minutes. Either that or I give them an education and then ask to speak to someone who actually knows about their cars.

It's amazing how much more you can learn about a product in 10 minutes than a salesman knows. Sometimes, you get a good one though and then you have someone you can actually deal with in the future or reccomend to someone else. In any event, it sure does make the 45 minutes you're waiting for an oil change fly by.

I went to Lupient as well after my horrible experience with both Luther's (Inver Grove Heights and Bloomington). It was night and day. Lupient for the win all day in my books. Guess it was a blessing in disguise as the 2021 is so much sweeter. So in a sense, big thanks to Luther

Does anyone have a grey interior with nappa dune leather? Has that been an option with any exterior color yet? Curious, and wondering if I want to change my Black Copper SXP w/T and nappa dune leather to a grey interior versus black. I live in Eastern NC and it gets HOT here in summer. Thinking the grey interior might be better choice. Any thoughts from anyone who has grey interior with nappa dune leather?

Nappa Dune leather is not part of the gray interior. The gray interior only gets gray seats...unless they change that for 2021, but the color match would be weird.

Gray interior means gray nappa leather. Not Dune. Black Copper for 2020 could be ordered with Black Nappa or Dune Nappa.

When you order the Nappa dune leather with the Black Cooper, the "interior color" shows up as black on the window sticker. That's why so many on this forum thought their BC/Nappa order was wrong b/c the interior color (roof fabric color, dash, side arms) are black. Now, apparently you can get a gray interior according to Stephen Cantrelle's posting of the 2021 Official Training Manual with the listed color changes.

My question is not related to changing my leather choice, it's about the gray interior. Read his Thread #6: Black Cooper now available with Gray interior."

Maybe Stephen can address this question for me?

I think there is confusion going on.
If you refer to post 2 you can see that the leather(not roof color, dash and side arms) is now available on the SXP in Dune Brown, Black or Gray.

the window sticker shows Black because that is default interior color by Kia. It considers Dune Interior a “upgrade” if you will or different package so it is listed on the window sticker as a separate line.

I was simply referring to this on post 6 that Black Copper can come with Gray Interior instead of Black and Dune. I will edit so that it doesn’t confuse anyone else

Gray Nappa leather with gray interior. Yes. Dune Brown leather comes with a black dashboard and headliner. I think you are misunderstanding the color chart.

Would be nice if it was available to the 2020s. We'll see if they offer that option in time im sure. Makes sense bc it will be available over all trims for 2021 which tells me the capability is there on existing vehicles now, just got to program them to work. Just a guess tho

It was also available on 2020 models in other markets.

Yeah, Luther dealerships in general are shady. Two things about Bloomington Luther Kia, I have several friends who have had a good experience there and they are the largest volume Telluride dealer in the upper Midwest. If they jerk me around then I will explore buying outside MN. It wouldn’t be in their best interest though because of the people I know that might stop buying there.

In my experience it’s been extremely rare that salespeople know much about the cars they sell.
I’d prefer to buy a car from someone like you but I’d rather not have to spend a grand getting it delivered or drive back a thousand miles on a new car.
