  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Order to delivery time

Last time I got an eta for july 7th no vin yet though. Before that it was may 1st! So july 7th doesnt mean anything anymore! It will jump to august then october....

KIA can't control the impacts of the COVID-19 situation.

I went from Apr 12 to May 17 to June 1 and mine was delivered on May 23.

Yea if your July 7th eta was after the April shutdown then this latest shutdown should only delay another week or two pending any future delays. And most people have seen their vehicles a week or two before the eta provided to them so hopefully you're in your last month of waiting.

If your request was entered into KFOS (sounds like it was because had an ETA) and planned for production, then July should be a reasonable estimate to receive. You received May 1 ETA before plant shut down for more than a month. Keep pestering your dealer - they have best/only information. Ask for screenshots.

This is of course if it’s only this week they remain shut down. Considering how bad COVID is in Mexico right now, and the seemingly large amount of parts manufactured for so many car manufacturers here in the US, I wouldn’t be shocked if this lasts at least a couple weeks.

I cannot express how much I’m hopefully wrong about this though.

Read the article I posted a just an hour or so ago. Some domestic suppliers are having financial problems.

Thanks for posting the article from Car and Driver as very informative. In my neighborhood, a lot of families have Toyota Highlanders and one of them told me their Toyota dealer told them no special orders on the Highlander until February 2021. Toyota is still making vehicles but only what they want to make to send to dealer lots from what he said.

I have a good buddy at Toyota.. he said they are running out of cars to sell because they have had no incoming for a while.. and he is at a mega store.. Toyota of Plano where the corporate headquarters is next to.

So it’s sounding like I’m wrong about them not opening back up next week. This post from an employee Facebook group makes it sound like they’re opening up at either full capacity or “phased-in” regardless next week.

That would be a very good thing. Lets hope that the supply chain issues sort themselves out and we can get back to normal-ish production levels.

I ordered my Black/Copper SX Prestige Pkg AWD back on Jan.15th. No word yet. Factory was closed for 2 weeks last month (Apr), so that didn't help. Plus, all salespeople were sheltered in place at home. That didn't help either. So, still waiting....when its here, its here i quess...San Jose, Calif
I too SXAWD PT Black Copper/Dune Brown, Feb 2, 2020. No idea where it is in the mill of waiting orders. There has been a telluride look up database, but lately not being stoked with new cars. Last VIN created on 5/20/2020
