I was also wondering if someone could just host the update but then got thinking wouldn't matter, the thumb drives are probably formatted with a unique bootloader for UVO.

Submitted a ticket about download status and got this reply today: “Unfortunately the download option for your vehicle is still in development due to some complications. We are hoping to have it up as soon as possible. If you would like you can check the site daily or contact us for an update at a later time as we are hoping to have it available very soon.”

They have the update on USB sticks. Now the download has complications?! Are they seriously serious?!!
They can't just handle the hits on their servers if everyone is downloading, so they are doing it gradually. We understand this, they don't have to come with such excuses.

I got myself a 128GB stick, guess will have to wait more

I got my USB drive and tried to install this past weekend but it fails on step 2. It just stops with a message stating that it was unsuccessful and try again. I have tried both quick and general install methods with the same results. The general install takes a few hours so make sure you have time. The directions seem correct with the prompts on the radio. Has anyone had a similar experience?

A lot of people have been reporting the update doesn’t work for S trim models.

likely because they use different versions of UVO to begin with compared to EX and SX models.

Yeah, it wasn't there.

Anyways, if you sign out, then sign in back and select Canada instead, you will get the download option.
I placed the download order, and got the Setup file.
However, I am not going to do this since I am not in Canada, neither the US.

Can someone from Canada try it out? Or maybe the US as well. Not sure if it will different for the US.

Note to others (if it will work) put the battery on a battery tender and update with the car in accessory mode.

This might not work, as I know the car tends to shut down the audio system after some period of time (maybe 10 -15 minutes...)

I believe it may be different between the Canada and the US. I did a little digging to try to find the USA update and I do not believe it is available on the servers right now. Just to do a quick check, I was able to find links for the update packages for the USA and Canada versions of the 2021 Seltos and only the Canada version of the Telluride.

Update files for the 2021 Seltos:

• USA (system_package_SP2.USA.0000.V004.001.200324.125936.tar)
• Canada (system_package_SP2.CAN.0000.V004.001.200324.144439.tar)

Update files for the 2020 Telluride:

• Canada (system_package_ON.CAN.0000.V004.001.200324.134740.tar)

The links for each contain what I believe is a region code and then the model

Regions:

• KCI = Canada
• KMA = USA

Models:

• ON = Telluride
• SP2 = Seltos

The Canada update link for the Telluride ends with /AVN5W_Software/KCI/ON so I would expect that you could change the link to /AVN5W_Software/KMA/ON to get the USA updates but the link does not appear to work.

The link for the MnSOFT Map Downloader can be found here but you will need a valid order number to download anything. Also, if you enter DEVELOPER in the order number field you will open up developer mode

Yeah, I noticed that update files names contain the code of the region. I couldn't stop myself from downloading
Plus the car system won't allow to update if the files are for a different region.

Did the Update for my SX (Canada).
Took about an hour via USB.

issue: SXM Logos are half gone (half the channels just have the generic SXM logo) - Some channels have the right logo - and Most Annoyingly, Some channels have the WRONG logo.
(The Blend channel shows ALT Nation - The Beatles channel shows SXM 111 Logo).

Anyone else having this issue? Any tips?
