2020 update 1 Available

Makes some sense, but the stinger update is still available. I have heard they took down the Telluride update because there were errors with it causing people problems...like I said..who knows, but eventually they will get their stuff together and it will be all good

Yes i even mentioned to the Mapnsoft rep about the problems some people had experienced with the updates from this forum but she made it seem like they pulled the update and purchase option for Telluride because there was a more recent update which was probably done to fix bugs and problems some people had with the update but hopefully they will get it right soon as i am patiently waiting .

I'm going to let you guys all figure this one out and then once the kinks are worked out I'll worry about it. My stuff is working just fine, don't need to add some bugs into the mix.

Mine is working fine too but you know i was really interested in getting that Sounds of Nature function updated on my system that comes with this update LOL. Seriously, I was interested in the Android Auto split screen update but I am not in any hurry as everything is working correctly now and I am just happy to have the car after waiting over 5 months for it.

I think its been mentioned a few times, but wanted to get the latest understanding; Will this update impact the requirement to continue with UVO? I have no or almost no usage of any of the features as remote start or locking the doors. But Nav is essential, and being able to use voice commands to control Nav. Thx

According to the below link, the UVO Lite package is free for 5 years but doesn't include much at all. The remote start with climate controls you need the $22.50 per month/$225 annual Plus UVO package for those functions. From what I can see from UVO website, the navigation and voice functions for Navigation and Bluetooth functions should still continue as they are based on the system software and not from the UVO link but I could be wrong.

I asked the Mapnsoft customer service rep about if there were any bugs in the USB sticks that had already been sent out and she said no. She said the purchase of the USBs were pulled because Kia had a newer update but sort of strange to issue update 14.0 and then do another update 14.5 right after the previous update has been released without there being some kind of problems that some people had with the previous USB update. I hope everything goes well with your update and let us know how it goes when you get it installed. I am hoping that you don't have a RATT problem with it.... I am sorry as i meant i hope you don't have a bug problem with it as i just can't get that GEICO commercial out of my head as you can tell from my username that i am a big fan of RATT and have been since the mid 1980s lol .

Can anyone that did the update confirm if you are still able to use Apple carplay full screen after updating? Since the update gives you the option for split screen capability. @HerrLynch

I did the update and have full screen Apple Carplay still. Never even asked me or defaulted to split screen after the update. No bugs either so far.

dang part of the reason I just bought the update was for Apple CarPlay and Kia split screen. I wanted to have google maps via CarPlay and my Sirius sat Radio via Kia dash split.

@johnwashere2 pretty sure he didn’t mean split screen was not an option. Just was saying that he still had the option for full screen carplay. And the fact that there was no prompt to turn on the new split screen feature. It is probably the same little arrow icon on the right you have to tap on to enable split screen.

I just went out and played with it some. I figured it out. There is split screen function with this update. I was just doing it wrong. You have to be in the Kia stuff, ie not Carplay first to get the arrow on the right to show and then you can have the option to show. Sorry all. I figured it all out. Lol.

I got my USB drive and tried to install this past weekend but it fails on step 2. It just stops with a message stating that it was unsuccessful and try again. I have tried both quick and general install methods with the same results. The general install takes a few hours so make sure you have time. The directions seem correct with the prompts on the radio. Has anyone had a similar experience?

I got my stick in yesterday and tried the update this morning with the same issue. Have you figured anything out yet ? I tried 2x

Got an form mapnsoft yesterday afternoon. Looks like I will have to wait to upgrade my software Hopefully the update comes soonish-

When I talked to Mapnsoft customer service earlier this week on Tuesday or Wednesday, they stated the new USB update should be available to order and download around June 15th, 2020 so I am waiting patiently to see if it comes out then but not holding my breath it will be out on the 15th .

Feel like that June 15th date was up on the site at some point before, I noticed now all the date notices have been removed from the site. at this point not that far away.
