• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Has anyone attempted or succeeded in raising the Model S manual passenger seat? We bought the Model S and not having a front passenger power seat would be the only regret. Has anyone tried to convert to a power seat or any aftermarket recommendations to raise the seat?

There isn’t a height adjustment on the seat?

Okay. One easy fix may be to get a padded seat cover. It might make a big difference. Before you buy, you can test it out by placing a folded bath towel on the seat. Fold the towel different ways to determine how much height you need.

Hello, I have the same issue with my 2022 LX; the only regret is that the front passenger seat is a bit too low. What did you end up doing to fix the issue?
Have you used a padded seat cover?
Have you installed some seat risers?
Thanks a lot!

The seat is too stiff for me. It hurts after a long trip. I've bought 2 different seat pads and when I use them the passenger air bag light comes on and says the air bags are off. I don't know how to fix this problem.

I’m looking at taking out my front seat and installing seat riser vinyl washers. I may also look at fabricating metal brackets to help raise the front more. I’m 6 foot five and the bottom of my legs behind my knees do not touch the seat. It’s not my favorite. I have an SX-p

So what did you ended up using?

I ended up buying these. RENO Seat Spacers, 387-2104 Plus Front Driver or Passenger Recline Kit Lift 1/2"-1.5" (Lift up Rear of Front Seat) Compatible with Select Models https://a.co/d/hR9jPqn

I had to mod them a little because of how the angle of the front mounts and the back mean that if you raise the seat by an inch or two altogether, the angle at which the screws go into the chassis also spread. I still wish there was a better way. Perhaps metal risers that bolt to the chassis and different bolts that the seat uses to bolt to the risers. I’ve thought this one through pretty hard and it’s not an easy fix. Could still stand to take my seat up another half inch to make it perfect, but it’s much much better than it was. If the seat is far enough back it actually hits the back of my legs above the knee. I’m pretty tall.

Did the lift interfere with the airbag sensor?

This sounds unsafe to me. A lot of engineering goes into how the seat is attached and messing with that feels dicey to me. Especially in, you know, a crash.

This kit I got off Amazon works really well. It's for a Toyota Tacoma or Toyota 4Runner. This can lift the front of the seat one and a quarter to one and a half inches in the front and 1/4 to 1 and 1/2 in the back. You do have to buy new hardware for the back as the kit does not come with the right size.

I use this to raise the front of my driver side seat up an inch and a half so that the seat would actually touch the bottom of my legs. Worked great I tried using a plastic spacer and it did not work out these metal ones work great. Only regret I have about my LX was not having the adjustable power driver seat. I have not sat in the passenger seat to see if I need to raise it up at all.

Hope this helps. My kit was the Howbow Tacoma seat spacers kit (off eBay)
