This is brilliant, sharing such great news with fellow enthusiasts. My excitement on cars falls on deaf ears with the wife. I might provide a running commentary the day I collect mine, lol.

Hi everybody - I, like many others, have received word that my order for a 2020 EX Premium placed in February has been pushed to a 2021 model. I had asked my dealer last month if my order was placed in KFOS, and they said that it had and gave me what they called a "partial VIN", though from reading on this forum - I think it may have been an internal order #. The # was in this format: "0004770624". My dealer told me yesterday that the existing order had disappeared in their system, and they hadn't been provided with any direction from Kia on whether or not I would have to reorder. I am wondering: 1) does that sound like my order was actually placed into KFOS? and 2) If so, has anyone heard whether or not those orders will need to be re entered from scratch?

Thanks in advance for any input- this forum has been a huge help to me during the wait.

It was! Was slightly hampered by Sirius XM and getting my service transferred over to the new Telly, was on the phone with them for over an hour before the call dropped. Other than that, she’s a dream!!!

Did Sirius try to hit you with a BS $15 transfer fee? They kill me with their games. All you have to do is complain even a little on that or price of subscription and they budge. I‘d imagine a lot of people pay full price and what not so they get away with it sometimes. Sure wish I had a Telluride to transfer my service to...but we wait.

I just put her to bed for the day (what a fun experience getting it in my garage with all the crap I have in there already, especially coming from an X3), but when I get her back out in the road tomorrow, I’ll definitely take more pics!! Man, that Sirius call drained me, especially compared to the car buying experience, which was a cinch!

No transfer fee! That I’ve noticed anyway, I’ve never been charged one before when switching cars. But again, my call got cut off, which ticked me off. They were having an issue since my car was still in Sirius demo mode. They had to switch it to the free trial, then add on my service (which I only pay 30 for 6 months, I never pay full price). So while I was on hold for an 1h 15m, it finally cut off. We’ll see how it works out, but I’m not even considering calling them again today after all that.
 
I was just given a VIN today and an ETA of 7/1. I know that having the VIN is a good thing, but does that guarantee it will be produced? It’s a white S model and it looks like they’ve been churning out a whole bunch of them, so I sure hope so!

Yeah. Unless it comes in within a month then we are moving on. Not willing to wait when I want something before fall. Colorado weather is ridiculously sporadic and I need something before then.

Yes a Vin number is given after it is produced. So all that is left it waiting to get shipped to your dealer.

Sounds like things are about to take (hopefully) a massive step forward production wise. A lot of employees are posting that they’ve been notified they’re working overtime, and the third shift that was off this week sounds like instead, they’ll be split working between the other two shifts. Apparently the second shift has been working 10 hour shifts these past few nights, and apparently they had a lot of people calling in sick last night. A lot people sound rather pissed in the comments on their FB page.
