• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... SX vs SX Limited.... one of the features on the SX Limited besides the Nappa Leather, Captain Chairs in the second row and a couple other features it the LED Taillights. Can anybody speak to the difference? The limited edition is not worth the bump up in price for my needs but was curious on how the regular taillights are when compared to the LED taillights. Thanks in advance for your replies.

I am guessing you are Canadian. Are you sure the SX doesn't have the LED taillights? In the U.S., the LED taillights are standard on the EX and all SX's.
It is my opinion that the "regular" tailllghts are not very good. I think they only light up half of the taillight enclosure. Also, with the regular taillights, the rear turn signals are located in the bumper--which makes them practically invisible.

I am in fact Canadian :) Based on what I am seeing on the Kia Canada website, The EX and SX do not have LED taillights. The two trims that have the LED taillights are the SX Limited and the SX Limited with Nappa Leather. Now you have got me thinking, I wonder if it is cheaper / more beneficial for a Canadian to buy in the states

I have an SX bought in Canada and they do come with the LED headlights but for the LED taillights they are only on the SX Limited. This is for the 2020 not sure if the 2021 will be different.

Thank you. Yes I just edited my last reply as I typed headlights instead of taillights. Did u get the standard SX or the Limited. If standard, do you have any issues with the taillights?

I got the standard SX. When I purchased early July last year I would have had to wait several months for the Limited. I also wanted the bench seat so the SX was fine. I do wish it had the LED taillights but it's not a big deal.

Bottom line....LED IS brighter and more "in your face" and, frankly, particularly for the taillights very important in today's driving world!

I like the idea of the bench seat better for my family dynamics as well. The only part of the limited package that is interesting to me is the LED taillights and that's not worth the price difference imo.

The price difference at the time wasn't worth it to me. I had never driven a vehicle with a HUD so didn't know what I was missing. Just bought a 2021 Seltos SX and it has the HUD and I love it so will make sure my next vehicle has it as well. As far as the taillights I do plan on putting LED bulbs in the taillights and brake lights as well as the backup lights.

Ya I have never driven with HUD either. I don't think I would like it but I guess you never know ubtil you try... I put LED in my current vehicle but it is an older Sante Fe and didn't care too much if I messed up somehow but with a brand new vehicle I don't want to play around at all ... Knowing what you know now, do you wish you would have bought the Limited for the HUD and LED?

I would go with the Limited for the HUD and LED taillights but not if I had to wait 4 to 6 months to get it. When I purchased in early July I would have been looking at October at the earliest to get the Limited. I got my SX the third week of July. If I could have had the Limited in that time frame I would have chosen it. But I have no regrets. I love my Telluride.

Awesome. Ok thank you for your feedback and advice.. I guess I should test drive the limited to make sure I don't love the HUD as well.

No problem. Have fun shopping. Which ever you choose you won't be disappointed. It's an amazing vehicle for the price!

Hello to all in the TELLURIDE community👋. I've been a member of this site for a few days now and I'd like to share a bit of info that I've come across. I've noticed many different posts about LED's and this is what i've found. Here are a few site that helped me find out some of that parts numbers/ codes for bulb replacements for our Tellurides;

2020 Kia Telluride LED Headlight High Low Beam Exterior Bulbs Upgrade

| SYLVANIA Automotive

I found these site useful because the owner manual doesn't specify all bulb item numbers and how to upgrade them. My Telly has the Lasfit package, which I pieced together on Amazon for a savings of around $40.00. Don't buy direct unless you have to. There's a very useful video from Lasfit on how to install the bulbs. I haven't found a vid for the Tail/Brake light yet, but I'll keep looking.
