If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi Telluride Fans, I'm Syd and I'm so glad I stumbled on this forum. I am still in the process of making my way around the forum, but I've learned so much in a couple of days from the people who share information so generously here. I'm in the market for a 2021 Telluride. I have been focused on the EX with bench seats because I have hunting dogs (a GSP and a Vizsla) and they are accustomed to my current Infiniti with a bench seat and won't jump over it. I love the upgrades on the SX and wish it came with an optional bench seat. Does anyone have an SX with dogs and found a good barrier that works with the captains chairs back seat? Also, I'm in upstate NY and see there isn't a club for New Yorkers yet. Any New Yorkers out there???

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us! You've come to the right place to learn everything there is to know about the Telluride. :) We don't have a New York based club here, but once you're settled in here you'll be able to start your own club here: Local Telluride Clubs

I have not used in person but I contacted CanvasBack as I like covering the carpet part of the back of seats. When I asked about covering the 2nd row captain chairs space I was given this info:
"The seat backs just cover the carpet on the back of the seats, so yes, it is just one panel for each seat. We do offer a gap cover for the captain seats that velcros in between the captain seats. You can order it just fabric so that it is a barrier when the seats are in the up position, or you can order it with plexi glass inside so that it can also be a hard platform for something to sit on top of if the seat backs are in the down position. The fabric barrier is $30 and with the plexi glass it is $60. I have attached some pictures so you can see what it looks like. "

I am seriously thinking about getting once I have my telluride. I also think the plexiglass option gives better support for when all rows down for hauling stuff.

And they sent me these pics:

I haven't purchased this yet, but it looks like a potential option for what you are looking for:

You would need to measure some dimensions on the seats so they can provide a custom fit bridge for the gaps between the seats and seat backs.

Thanks @casphi !! Great find. I searched the internet and did not find anything like this. It just might be the answer for my dogs.

Wow, another great option. Thanks Rayne!

I've been hauling stuff in the cargo area and hate it when things slide between the captains chairs. I might just get this to protect the inside of the T-Ride. Anybody get this and can provide a review?

I'm not (YET) a Telluride owner but hope to be in the near future. Just wanted to shout out to the hunting dogs! Our last dog was vizsla and we just got a GSP in January.

I'm hoping the back cargo area will contain my own petite GSP with the 3rd row up since I still have 3 kids to haul around as well. I like that the Telluride has 21 cubic feet behind the 3rd row vs the Pallisade which has 18.

I actually switched my order to the EX from the SX in part because of the bench seat. Not because I need the extra seat, but because I want to have a truck-like bed in the back of my SUV for hauling my drums. While captain’s chairs are great for passengers and access to the third row, there is nothing more annoying than the giant hole left by the captain’s chairs when they are folded down! Another benefit of the third row that never gets talked about is the pull down console in the middle of the bench that has two extra cup holders. It’s much closer to the passengers than the ones you have to bend down to reach in the forward center console. Lastly, the bench seat in a Telluride adds almost 200 lbs of weight, so they are the beefiest Tellurides on the road.

Great dog!! The cargo area should hold your GSP. Since I always seem to be carrying cargo and/or the dogs, I'm planning on keeping the third row folded most of the time. The cargo area is one of the key reasons I chose this vehicle as well.
