Same. I’m sold on the side steps now. Love the look and appreciate some of the kind folks on here answering some of my questions about them. I’d say go for it if you’re getting a good price. I’ve managed to get my dealer to waive any installation fees so I think it’s about $695 total.

I hope I can get the fee waived as well. But I will be waiting until Nov/Dec to place my order. Gives me about 4-5 months before my lease is up next April. What color did you order? I want the Dark Moss with Nappa Gray interior. I think the side steps will look good with darker colors. Also debating if I should get the front alloy skid plate, rear bumper protector, mud guards, and illuminated scuff plates. Do you know if the rear bumper protector is the metal piece or a clear film?

Side steps were $953 incl tax installed. It was worth it. If you can get for less go for it. I am in Chicago suburbs so everything costs more. Lol. I will send a few pics as soon as I can.

The metal one i think comes above the bumper where the door closes and it’s called rear bumper apllique

Hello to all! As another posted, I, too, have been a long time lurker - and so thankful for all your posts and info.

I live in TX but local dealers are marking up prices. I found what I wanted (EX, FWD, 2nd row bench, white w/gray interior) but located in FL. After getting shipping quotes, I decided to go for it. Now salesman says they do not have that vehicle - but cannot tell me if it was sold or hasn’t come in. The Telly is also on Edmunds, CarGurus, etc & I even received an email from the dealership today saying “it was a match” - WTH!

My current vehicle is a lease and up at the end of the year. Any suggestions on what I should do? Many thanks in advance!

If you're in Texas then @StephenCantrelle is the man to talk to. He's been invaluable on this forum. Did you pay a deposit on the vehicle... hopefully refundable?

The good news is that it appears Muncie has been allocated 3 SXP in June which would just about double their previous allocation. The bad news is that I'm about 12th in the que. Add to that 4-8 weeks for delivery and I could be looking at another 5-6 months. I do have Costco pricing.

The alternative

I have been offered a SX that is scheduled to arrive in August at MSRP + 2000 from a reputable dealer. So I get a SX instead of SXP 3 or 4 months earlier.

I've been waiting since Nov 2019 and my patience is wearing thin. What should I do??

My SXP/T order was also very end Nov from Muncie. I can wait, but it’s getting frustrating and I, like most, have no idea when I may receive. It’s a good thing my 2008 Lexus 400h nearly 200k mile car is still going, but it’s starting to need some repairs that are adding up.

News finely! Dealer just told us at the end of this month. July 25th give or take a day or two. #191204j001 ordered December 4th SXP-T Black Copper in Casper, Wyoming. Hope this is true, almost gave up. We will see if it’s a real or not. Richard
