One of the salespeople at my local dealership knew that I wanted to look at and test drive an SX (wasn’t holding my breath for a Prestige to appear). I had read/watched reviews/comparisons and test drive a Palisade already. Was told about all the deposits put down just to wait in line for first chance at any coming in but I wasn’t in a hurry as my current vehicle lease wasn’t up until December so I was willing to just wait and see. Well, lo and behold he called today and said they just got 3 2021’s in, all SX’s, all AWD. Color me shocked as I didn’t even realize the 2021 were shipping yet. 2 black w/ butterscotch Nightfall (my wife hated the nightfall and I wasn’t a huge fan either) and 1 everlasting silver w/black interior. One test drive later and I’m having the silver prepped for pickup. Found these boards, just while poking around trying to verify the differences between 2020 and 2021 (since salesperson wasn’t even sure), and also glad I was able to find the thread talking about dealer markups so I know it’s not just my dealer. Guess I’ll be staying!

Hello Fraenhawk and Welcome Aboard!! I, too, am a new member having just purchased my first brand new vehicle ever. Needless to say, my wife was very reluctant when it came time to pull out my wallet and fork over the funds for ours. I told her, Dear, we've been married nearly 40 years, never had a new vehicle, so, "Let's shoot the nickle". And I did and I don't regret it. Purchased mine here in New York state, Elmira, New York , to be exact, from Williams Kia Auto Group. Price for my beautiful 2020 Kia SX Prestige, with every amenity available (except tow package) $46,845) I know, lots of hard earned money. Was it worth it? So far, IT'S BEEN GREAT!! Welcome again, enjoy your new ride!!!

I would make that dealership remove that ugly white logo. The point of the nightfall is to be blacked out not be a stark dealer advert.

I don't know why people are busting on the wheels so much. Yes, the SX wheels are better IMO, but they aren't that bad. Of course, to me, all black wheels look pretty much the same.

Just an update for everyone, the deal fell through (some last minute interest rate shenanigans at the dealership that we refused to deal with). No big deal, I wasn’t exactly swallowing that markup pill well anyways.
For those that asked earlier, the markup was 6k. I’m sure they’ll have no problem selling it.
