• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... So....the Telly now has 10K miles on the meter. The other day, took it on a 31 mile run on two lane roads in rural Vermont. Never went faster than 55....had to slow to 30 several times going through small towns...up and down hills. The mpg at the end of the trip was 31.3 !! I am still amazed.....highest mpg I have ever achieved on any SUV of this size that I have ever owned.

That's amazing and I am jealous as I am only seeing cumulative 17.7MPG driving around NYC/Long Island area

Yeah.....on my run there was almost no "stop and go" which I think plays a big role.

Right there with you in your twin vehicle. I average just above 15 MPG in the city (Houston). Too many short trips. :(

Just drove from Albuquerque to Prescott AZ. Running 80 most of the time to Flagstaff and averaged close to 28. 400+ miles.

Short trips around town slow speeds and stop and go with hills... Normally 22.6 MPG, get on the highway at all and it goes up to between 24 and 26 MPG....

Wow some really great gas mileage
Feel the same way.. Getting 13 MPG in my current vehicle so anything over that will be an improvement!!
