Order to delivery time

Failcat is so boring without the towing package being produced. It’s like no cars are produced to me. I’m hoping they’ll start pumping a lot of them soon.

I feel the same way. Waiting no my Ex Premium VIN to show up, but its a TOW package. Do we know if there is an supply chain issue with them?

Yeah there is. They havent been making any for more than a week now.

I don't get it, my dealer, Muncie sats they can't take orders. I am trying to order an SX AWD with tow, and for about the last 10 days, I'm told the order bank is not open. I'm trying to figure this out, is the order bank open for some dealers, but not others?

There's a difference between ordering from KIA and the dealer taking orders. Muncie was not taking orders from customers because they had so many orders in the queue. That doesn't mean that they cannot order from KIA. I would confirm with them the definition of "order bank"

Someone here mentioned it earlier last week. Got a word from his dealer plus it’s pretty obvious now, not a single car with towing package made in the last 10 days

I haven't seen one on Failcat yet.

Simply means that from a manufacturing standpoint they batch option groups and manufacture them in big blocks.

They Build in color Blocks and Trim blocks. Remember for like 1.5 weeks they were only cranking out S models.. then EX.. they have yet to build SX FWD’s in bulk for 2021...

So would make sense they are working on a block of non Towing Package

No kidding. I have seen folks post rumors of low supply of HUD units, navigation screens, tow package items, etc. Eventually - they all show up in Failcat. To your point - when KIA pumps out a new block of trim packages.

But I agree - as long as production numbers stay high we are good.

I canceled my order With the dealer yesterday. It’s in KFOS- i got a pic. I am guessing late sept delivery based on what others are saying here but didn’t get an ETA from him (he was waiting for the ETA to show up-He May have that info now).
if anyone is looking for an 2021 SXP Gravity Gray with black Napa interior, I suggest calling my guy and seeing if it’s still available. Probably way faster than getting in line with another dealer at this point.

Looks like they are significantly below the 400/day this week per Failcat. We might have praised Kia Manufacturing too soon. Remaining Supply Chain issues I can imagine are causing them a lot of grief. I would not want to be a scheduler in the West Point Plant these days.
